    say your turning left
push the left side of the handle bar forward
and put your weight on the right peg.

it is a little more in depth than that, but thats the jist of it.

I know how to counter steer. What I did'nt get was the double part? Why would you want to weight the outside peg? You weight the outer peg in very slow, tight U-turns. You want your weight on the inside, thats why you hang off, keep the bike more upright, hang off for more traction...right?

You want you weight on the outside peg with your butt lifted slightly off of your seat leaning your torso forward and to the inside of the turn bringing your point of effort lower on the bike. Your inside foot sould not carry the weight, reason being is you should be holding on to the bike with your outside leg/knee and foot on the peg. your inside foot should only have enough pressure to feel when and if your feelers touch the pavement as a reference to tell you that hard parts are going to start scraping if you go much further. Trust me, if you have not read Keith Codes book "Twist of the Wrist II" you should go get it ASAP. I was riding sportbikes for almost 10 years before I read that book and thought I was decent rider, After reading this I imediatly improved felt much more stable and confedent on 2 wheels. I think it is a must for anyone who rides.

First of all---sorry for the tread jack!.... I have all the books except TW11. I am going to order it now.I thought his 1st book was very difficult to read and understand. I hope this one is better. I use knee pressure on the outside of the tank but when you are at full lean how in the world do you put weight on the out side peg? I watch a lot of FIM races and quite often they will have their out side foot very lite or off that high peg. I get the outside knee for sure but the very act of sliding off puts weight to the inside. I do remember reading something in Nick Ienatscn book that peg weighting was not all that important. Reg Parks book Smooth Riding says to weight the INSIDE peg and use outside knee pressure. Please help me understand because, I do work hard to ride well and be smooth as possible but just like the "GOLF SWING" I am sure there are many ways to go at "it"

i find its more of a stability enhancing thing. it gives you something to leverage off of when pushing the bar forward. trust me it doesnt make sense in theory, but in practice, with practice, you will wonder how you ever turned with out it. its kind of a break through like when regular single counter steering was first brought to attention. i find it extremely confidence inspiring.

Ok, flapper and snorkel mod seems to be going well.........so next is -1 front sprocket.

Now is it fairly easy to change the front sprocket, have done one before on a 250 cruiser and didn't find it hard at all but a new sports bike maybe different.

Also once the 02 sensors are done how do I cover them up from the rain and such?

Are you talking about completely removing the o2's? I am not a mechanic by any means so I could be wrong here, but my understnding is that you leave them there and simply disable them with an eliminator kit. Those are available from Dynojet. Also, I believe that someone on this forum has figured out a sort of home remedy for this procedure that costs about a $1. Under Cheap o2 elims or something like that. Actually my tuner had told me that they are not worth eiminating unless you are installing a power commander, in which case eimination becomes neccesary.

Looking at doing the cheap 02 elims, I'm just not sure how do you protect them from the weather when finished.
