    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone might know why the top end gasket kit (Gasket Kit 'A') is different for the '84 and '85 model years on a VF500F?

You should be able to get the oil pan gasket from Honda.

I may have an extra one PLUS all the bolts for the pan new...I just don't know where I put 'em.

Good luck swapping the pan gaskets.....that was a Re&Re I don't ever want to do again.

    '84 vs '85 Gasket Kit 'A'

My question is not the availability of these kits but why the OEM Gasket Kit 'A' numbers are different for an '84 versus an '85.

It was my understanding that the engine designs for the '84 and '85 model years were the same but something(s) up top must be different..?
