I am courius about this as well?

Seems to know what he is talking about and amazing after all my nasty emails to uship. I did pick the lowest bidder I did not have the money for any thing more the next highest bid was 50% higher.

I asked alot of questions first he had low feed back because bussiness used to be better and he did not need the web site he was a member for a couple years.

U and your Uship A-hole buddies will not return my deposit based on cancelation because the bike was shipped. its only like $60 not going to go very far towards my list of damage. which I am guessing $800 or more.

Whats really nice is when you submit a claim with thier dispute resilution center you get a form email stating that they are a indipendent third party and thay are not involved with your issue. Dont see how that is true as they take your deposit money and they pay the shipper.

Thansk guys I met with my detective friend who is helping me. I am compling all my info and will be going after this guy. below is a list of damage. Just want to point out that I do not expect this bike to be made mint. I bought it to restore. But It is in alot worse shape now than it was. nothing was broken before. nothing.

Windshield and Paint all over the top side of the bike is chaffed from a tarp fitted loosely and slapping it for the duration of the trip

Right mirror glass missing and plastic ground down

    Front fender big gouges

Lower belly front fairing the front is all cracked out and shattered

The side panels have scuffs and cracks

The mesh side cover has a broken tab

Right muffler is ground down very far and destroyed

The right side of the tail section is half missing and the other half is ground down so far

that the steel sub frame under it is ground down about 3/8"

Rear tail light housing is missing/broken in to pieces

The lic plate bracket is broke in half

The solo cowl is missing-was supposedly going to be shipped separate.

Yeah, ahhhh...you have too much info for just an "average" member reading this post for the first time. Info that was not provided. I agree with the others that you work at USHIP.com. Too suspicious how you just joined and posted about this with "unprovided" info.

Why doesn't your company help this member out with this issue?

    hey. sorry to hear it.

sorry if this has been said before. your only choice is either his insurance, which he probably doesent have, or a civil law suite.

the latter can get your bike fixed, or the money for it. i sujest paying for a pro shop to give you a quote and let them do it as that is waht the court will be looking for.

it will cost you money, but its the only way to keep him from doing it to other people. just find a lawyer and file a suite, he will get a summons to court and since you have pictures it should be an open shut case.

if you have a lawyer. if not your are pretty screwed. and lawyers arnt cheap

I just think you are a suspicious type of person Jason.

Anyways, you may not get personal satisfaction but I would certainly report this turd to the BBB. I have used the BBB on a couple complaints, one of shich was quite successful. If a business is not reported, BBB cannot warn people away from it.

Sucks about the bike though. Kinda think I would be seeing red and having nighmares until I got my tons of justice from Johny Junker here.

Sorry to hear about that. I almost went with Uship. Glad I didn't.

I know its a little late, but I used Freight Air to ship some bikes last month and their price was very fair and service was top notch. They 1,2, or 4 bike shipping containers that you provide the locks to secure before shipment.

IF anybody is looking to ship in the future, for reference I would highly recommend Forward AIR for shipping with their motorcycle containers. It was around $500 to ship a bike across the country and it took 4 days.

Man O man what I pile of shit here, No doh what the F, this should be a no brainier, So sorry to hear this. I too had worries when I had my bike shipped and they too said 7-10 days, took 14, but all in all it turned out to be an okay ordeal less the setting in a freight depot during the labor day weekend. Hope all works out, those are great bikes. Which gets me thinking???

Has there been any update on this? I wanna know if the poor guy won his lawsuit. If this was me, I'd have put that shipper over the hood of his truck and taken every dollar outta the flesh on his back. Sounds to me like someone decided to have himself a joyride on someone else's baby, crashed it, and tried to pretend it didnt happen.

Alright here is the skiney. The guy disappered off the face of the planet has no real name that I do not believe him to be a legal citizen, has no real bussiness actually has 2 fake ones. His mailing adress is phoney and his phone is now turned off. I have worked very close with one of our local detectives that I know very well and we have run out of options.

I am totally over this bike. look for it now in the for sale section.

How on earth can such business dealings be allowed to take place with no ramifications by the transporter.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Hope you find a nice VF/VFR soon.

Uship claims that they are a advertising web site and since they do not get paid by me they have no liablilty and they do not do any background check of any kind. They guy from uship who owns the place pretty much told me to get f'ed he told me no to contact him anymore and that he would not answer anymore emails from me. I was nice an cordule in every email to him but I was pursistant in trying to get him to help me. I did finally get the mailing address from him wich turned up to be fake.

I would still file a mechanics lien against them in their state of operations, if anything it will cost you a few bucks and piss them off mucho.

    Monkeymunch,

This kind of poor business deserves a reward.

As long as it does not hurt your possible lawsuits, criminal charges, etc, etc, post his name, compnay name, location, phone number, anything you can. There are a lot of MC riders out tere, surely someone will be near him and be able to ID him and where he is hiding?

    Larry
