HID is the way to go, You can always switch to Philip or Sliverstar. These bulbs coome with the prices :) Hope this help.

FYI, HID is under $100 and 10 time better in brightness. Just my 2 cents

You might be able to get a little bit more light by changing bulbs but it will more than likely barely be noticible. Scuba is right, HID's are the way to go. You can do your low beams for $100 or less and the amound of light you get out of them will be way more than anything you can do with regular bulbs.

Which type of bulb is your 86

HID is draw less current after full blast. I believe it is only draw asa 5w instead of 35w as regular bulbs. 35w HID can be install on most of the vehical. Some of the guys put them on their fog lights as well:crazy:

If your not going HID, the best bulbs I've found(bright and last a long time)are the GE MegaLightPlus 60%

This site will ship cheap and fast.

Best to check with the various light manufacturers on aftermarket lamps for a given bike. Some VFR's and other Hondas used a large base lamp. Honda would try to stick ya about 40 bucks a pop for these and you could buy the regular size base lamps in any auto parts shop for a tenner.

The fix is a stainless steel shim.
