Ferrari offered Rossi a contract 6 or 8 weeks ago, which Rossi politely declined. Word is that after the 2010 season he may go back to Honda. Apparently he has in itch to prove it's rider ability and not the bike. Not to mention the Lorenzo issue.

I read a small quote of his a month or two ago in Road Racing World where he basically said that he had seen enough of the Ducatis' D909 career ruining ways. Blowing some smoke perhaps?

have to ck that thought it was pedrosa or lorenzo that made that statment
I know before the move to yami, duc was in the running.

I think Rossi will take a chance if stoner does well on it next year.

I heard Rossi was offered the job of being president of the entire solar system, by the Italian government, and he politely turned it down, then I remembered that it is winter already and the media needs to talk about something..

I would not listen to too many stories about Lorenzo, Stoner, Rossi. There are a few items that are very true:

1.) Rossi's contract at Yamaha is up in 2010.
    2.) Lorenzo's contract is up in 2010
3.) Spies' contract is good through 2011
    4.) Stoner's contract is up in 2010
    5.) Nicky's contract is up in 2010
6.) Dani Pedrosa's contract is up in 2010
7.) Coilin Edwards contract is up in 2010

That is a bunch of top caliber riders who could possibly move, following the 2010 season. One thing that has now thrown a monkeywrench into all of this, is the decision to return to the 1000cc formula in 2011. Honda RULED during the 990 era and they still have all of that information tucked away in a very tidy file cabinet, somewhere in Japan. Only three of the guys above, had success during that era....Rossi, Hayden and Pedrosa.

Whatever is being said right now, does not mean shit. wait until the halfway point of the 2010 season and it will all start to work itself out. If i was lorenzo, i would stay until they forced me out. i think it's awesome that the great intimidator, Rossi, feels threatened by lorenzo. It's all bullshit. Stoner is the man to beat in 2010 and I think they ALL know it.

One last thing, Rossi has always complained about Honda saying it was the bike and not the rider. What would be the outcome if Rossi, didn't win the title in 2010, on the Yamaha, and did go to Ducati in 2011 and beat Stoner? that would be quite awkward

LOL. Yep, that's the one. Verbatim. Maybe it's his humble and kind nature that make his words seem so polite.
