    This guy sells great kits. I've used them 3 times with no issues. One of my kits is going on 4 years. All his stuff is lifetime warranty.

    I think if I was serious about HID and wanted one of these kits I would most likely get two. I just can't see the inexpensive China ones lasting all that long. Mind you a set of Ultra White Sylvania's cost just as much as one of those sets.

    I'm not seeing a H4 low only option though... Wonder if the H4 Hi/Lo would be suitable.

    China made cheap but the quality not so much:mad:. I paid more for my but it last:thumbsup:

    I would avoid any HID kit without a reflector made for our bikes. The stock reflectors are made for halogen lamps and may blind riders/drivers coming in the other direction when using HID kits like this. There is another thread on VFRW that discusses this but I'm too lazy to find it right now.

    If you end up getting the H4 Hi/low, might as well add the wiring to allow you to run all FOUR bulbs for high beam! :cool:

    Wow, lots of replies overnight, thanks all.

    Also am interested in thoughts on 35w vs 50w in a 6th Gen, as well as low only vs Bi-Xenon. Has anyone used Bi-Xenons for any length of time without issue?

    I'd like to get as much light as possible, and have changed the wiring to allow the H4 high beams to work as well. Ideally I'd like 50w H4 Bi-Xenons and 50w H7s too.

    I wouldn't bother. The H4 lo beam is so bright (Imagine daylight. Really.) that the highs add almost nothing to the view. I have HID H7s and rarely turn them on.

    I have istall dozen bike from 5th gen to 6th gen , Ducati......etc

    I'm not that familiar with the VFR electrical system yet (only had the bike for 2 months or so) but I'd be weary of straight plug-and-play on a 55w setup. If you do 55w, you should probably run a relay. 35w puts out a considerable amount of light, though.

    digitallyhip is probably right though. Not necessary to run them all. But if you already have it wired, you could obviously use it.

    Bi-xenon high/low typically works with a magnetic servo to refocus the light pattern when the highs are flipped on. This would probably work fine, except you need to also find a place to stash the servo I think.

    Thanks Elwray; I have changed the light circuiting completely, every circuit has an additional relay, wired and fused from the battery, so I can handle whatever load I place on the new system.

    I'm basically trying to decide between 35w and 50/55w. I love masses of light, especially when doing country riding at night (which admittedly is not often), so would lean toward H7 HID as well.

    Digitallyhip, have you got photos or impressions on your H4 hi/lo setup? Was there any added complexity because of the hi/lo?

    Then the only things you really have to consider with the 55w is the added heat in the housing, and how the beam pattern will be with the HID in the halogen reflector.

    No photos, sorry. It was a simple install (as long as you get the slim "digital ballasts"), with the exception of needing to leave the black ABS panels that hide all the bits inside of the fairing, above the radiators.

    The hi/lo was not an issue at all. There are three connectors on the bulb adapter, but only two spade connectors. The lows work just fine.
