Well most of you know mud.

( even tho she hasnt been on in a while. ) lol.

I worked lots of overtime and came up with enuff scratch to buy her a bike.
I know that this is vfrworld and her bike is no vfr, but I am assuming that she will be welcome here either way since she will be riding with all of us :ncp: norcal possie viffers.
MSF is right around the corner, we almost have enough money for that now too.
She will be riding as soon as she passes.
And hopefully be posting as well!
Big help from the TOECUTTER on finding a bike for us in less then a week, and going to pick it up for us. Thanks TOE. We are in your debt!
Recomended by all my vfr brethren that I ride with, as the best beginner bike....oh and it is a hoot to ride.
    1991 suzuki gs500e.
She might graduate to a vfr in the future, but no pressure... im just glad to have my best friend ( my wife ) on the road with me soon!

On a final note, before the fun begins... I did see a post from tinkerinwithstuff saying that if you have a friend about to take the course and start riding, dont give them advice. let the proffessionals advise them, so you dont pass off any bad habits. I am taking that advice. I thought it was sound. thanks TWS.

I love white rims, but they are a chore to keep clean.

Congrats, cool bike. ya gota love the color scheme too LOL whats wrong with keeping the rims clean, white rims rock. if you do a wipe down after a ride or two they are a snap to keep up ;)

Beautiful. There is a VTR250 ('89 I think) on ebay, similiar color, that I thought my wife would look real good on.

I agree about the advise thing, or lack of it. I think I said the same thing to GFR, let the wife go, keep your trap shut, and you'll have lots to talk about afterword. I did the same thing with firearm safety and sent the wife to an all ladies class. I figured she'd listen better, and get more, out of a "professional".

I think she enjoyed it a lot better.

matt the "outer edge" we are always talking about ( chicken strips ) is very easy on this one. LOL. I cant beleive how much further I lean on a 380 lb bike then a 600+ lb bike ! It wil be a great starter bike for her ( as well as something for me to ride on the rainy days...got to keep my :mellisa: clean ).
That was the real deal, im not taking mine out on the bad weather, it was either buy myself a car or buy her a bike that I can use a few days a month leaving mine garaged.... didnt have the budget for a car and a bike, so this was a good solution.

I feel like i am on a girl bike when I ride it though. Teal with a pink stripe.
    Im just all like :
    brumbrumbrumbruuuuuuuuuuuumbrum
No offense to any girls, or people with teal and pink bikes. :)

Having used one of them when I was a motorbike courier, I can vouch for the fact the these bikes are un-killable provided basic maintenance is done. And, although I hope your wife never has to find this out, they are pretty cheap and easy to fix as well.

Nice! It's always good to see more people joining in on the madness. While this is a VFR forum, who shives a git? It's all the same wind, so she'll always be welcome. Hope to get to ride with both of you one day.
