i drove 9 hours tuesday to pick this gem ('00 yella vfr), 9 hours back home, rode it 3 hours today. it is SOOO great to be back in a vfr saddle .

suspension mods next. btw, the givi touring screen is not for me (6'1").

i'll send pics once i know how.

also, the folks on this forum are much more polite than the ones on the aprilia forum. here's how they welcome newbies, "welcome to the forum, now fu*k off!"

So very nice for you! Cool - long trip to retrieve. But.....how about a pic for the rest of us? :) It is not that hard to do.

Welcome to the godd@ned forum. Do you think you might have enough fu#kin bikes already? All anybody is interested in around here is VFR's, so don't go yapping on and on about all those other crappers you've got parked out in your front lawn!!!

the drz is my commuter, the aprilia is for headaches, the gixxer is a track bike and vfr is for everything else! n=the number of bikes you own....n+1=the number of bikes YOU should own.

I hear that, one can never have too many, and Aprillia can be directly attributed to the advent of Vicoden.

All kidding aside, Welcome. This is a great site.

I think I remember that, and now we have come full circle grasshopper!

I was just trying to make the gentlemans transition from Aprillia forums to vfrw a little smoother. Less shock for him that way.

i'm over the shock, thanks havcar. my yella vfr is in the 'photos' section, as is my wife's R1. please excuse the R1. not a bad bike, but not a vfr. she wants a vfr now (but she can't have yella...any color recommendations for her?).

I bought a brand new '99 5th Gen and it is an awesome bike. I love the gear driven cams. I've got 4 bikes too. I guess it is a sickness, but a healthy one. Welcome.
