First off, the quality of the 5th gen is off the charts! I've moved up from a Suzuki and it's hard to call the Suzuki a motorcycle now that I own a real bike!

The issues are this, I'm so worked up about this bike, I've found myself waking up at 3 am and going for 90 minute rides! The tone and feel of this engine is like nothing else! Even working on the bike is not near as bad as I thought it would be. I've changed the oil, coolent and brake/clutch fluid. The flip up tank is cool as heck!

This thing is turning me into a gearhead!

Awesome, I'm glad to see a suSUCKi convert! However, the VFR does have an achilles heel and that's the R/R. They're known for failing due to the weak wiring. To be on the safe side I recommend buying a new R/R and get the VFRNess as well from wiremybike.com This will ensure you won't be stranded with a dead battery.

Seeing as you're a fellow gearhead, a good place to get cheap parts is shspowersports.com Welcome to the 5th gen gang!

The addiction has clearly gotten hold of you. There's nothing you can do about it now. Enjoy...:biggrin::tongue:

Unfortunately there's no cure for this addiction. I just know I'll exhibit withdrawal symptoms once winter hits and the bike has been parked for a week.

Honda quality and reliability is hard to beat. They make a solid package. I am brand loyal because of these two traits. I grew up racing MX in the late 80s and early 90s and the Honda CR bikes were absolutely bulletproof. Welcome.
