I was told it wouldn't affect it because it wasn't my fault. However, I'm going to fix this one myself even though I have a zero deductible. FYI I just had to file a claim on my car also because of a flood also and it took 3 months to get back(went so far as the dealership put a dead bird under the hood) and what do you know a day after I got it back the tranny when out???....I need a break bad!!

Well, "they" say it comes in threes. So I think that 2 bike tip-overs, a flooded car, and a bad transmission have used up all the bad joo-joo.

Things are on there way up!!

you would think but.....a kid at the high school backed into my car crushing the door when I was on the way to take the car back to the dealer....and my wife dropped her ninja in the drive way and if you havn't read the post "I had to kill...." then you'll get a taste of it. On top of all of this I work full time, go to grad school full time and I have a family full time so I'm stresses alot!!!! and I just had hand surgery so I can't even try and ride to de-stress my life.

do something better than powdercoating your wheels with that extra money, buy yourself a good set of fork springs, some good fork fluid, and a good shock spring, at a minimum.....after that you can begin to polish the turd.

Buttonhook, I too had a tip over - pulled hamstring as I came to a stop. Total damage - nil. I have frame sliders that I got from a fellow named Radar over at VFRD. They required cutting the lower fairing but with the mounting jig supplied it was really very easy. They mount at the upper engine mounting bolt, which is also supplied. Here is a pic of the "damage"
    Slider:

    Right side mirror scuff:

The couple hundred for the sliders saved me a bundle on repairs. Now if only my leg was also as undamaged. Still healing up from that "event".

I have thought about the sliders but they would not have helped this time as the bike never hit the ground it fell over against the side of my building at about a 45 degree angle. They would not have stopped the first damge either as my bike hit my wifes ninja on the way down. Having said that they would have been very usful had the bike just fell over to the ground, but with my luck that just doesn't happen it seems.
