Hello to all! After wanting a VFR for years, permission broke through

Have a '07 Silverwing and an '04 ST1300 in the stable, recently joined by a new left over RWB '07 VFR800. I now know the feeling of complete.

Do have one question though, when purchased new they come with the rear cowl, correct? Dealer lost it with the owners manual and tool kit. It has the covers for removing pass. grab handles under the seat and that is all. They ordered me an owners manual and tool kit but are balking about the rear cowl. Sales guy is giving me the "owner is handling that" line.

I'm sure there is someone on here that knows the record...

I am curious. How would a dealer "lose" a manual and toolkit? Hmmm...sound more like they somebody borrowed it.

Yes, they do come with the rear cowl. The dealer should provide that if the bike was purchased new.

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of VFR ownership!

    Thanks for the fast responses.

Yup, bike is brandy spanking new. Picked up 2 weeks ago with 5 miles on the clock, me being the first titled owner.

Photo was part of the break in Tuesday last week. Called into Mr Slate and told him I had Cherahalaitus and had an appointment at the Dragon.

Congrats on your new VFR and welcome to the forum! I'm jealous about your upcoming Dragon visit.

As others said, the cowl, grab handles, owners manual and tool kit all come with the bike standard. If they don't get you the cowl free-of-charge pronto threaten to call Honda directly. I've heard Honda doesn't take kindly to their dealers screwing people around.

Honda of Winston came through. Picked up tool kit, owners manual, and rear cowl in a nice pretty bag with Honda part numbers on it.

Have cranked just at 700 miles on it in the past 3 weeks. Already did the first service at 618 miles. If the weather would cooperate for a few we might get to ride a little. It has rained here in Greensboro ALL weekend. It is to the point that I'm considering gettin out the First Gear riding suit and going for a ride.

Thanks to all who have rendered advice.

    Feel right at home here...
