Hi VFR-World, My name is Christophe. I'm 33, living near Bordeaux with my girlfriend and our daughter, 20 months old. To earn my life, I'm driving a 40 tons truck by night (from 8pm to 7am !), carrying goods for Mac Do... !!! Biker since 10 years, I have ridden a '95 VFR for 5 years and 90MKm, going several times to see 24 Heures du Mans and 1 month later, Le Mans GP. I've been too several times to Pinguinos (an international wintry meeting !) but only once to the Catalunya GP ! Now, I ride a '00 VFR since February 2006. But since summer 2006, I haven't been able to go for long trip... Last month, I've been to Alès (30), in a very sinuous road region, meeting rfman and other members of the VFR-Club de France !!! And last 2 weeks, I've been to Angoulême (16), for a charity event... and for my dog's bike baptism !!! I would like to go, next year, to Pinguinos and the French VFR Club meeting and one day: - to the Tourist Trophy, - to the Dutch TT GP, and following to Sweden, in Malmö by Copenhagen, through the Öresund bridge, - to Athens, in Greece. and anyone of you, along european sinuous roads !!!
Bonjour, and welcome to VFRW! Sounds like you've done some great riding. One of my dream rides is to ride across Europe, lingering in the mountainous regions for some extra riding.
Hey Chris. Welcome to the site. I was looking at your photos and think photo number dsc4811 would make a nice contender to the 2010 calendar if you choose to submit it for consideration. A little lacking in light but they should be able to lighten that up a bit.
TimRav: one of mine is to ride the Palomar mount !!! Randy: I'm really pleased to be selected but I've already uploaded a photo for the 2010 calendar (Sunny day in Bretagne) The photo you have selected (dsc4811) has been taken by a member of the VFR French club. I hope he still has the original version because I only have a 800 width one !...
Bienvenue! Nous (europeens) ne sommes pas trop nombreux ici pour le moment (malheureusement)! Would be great to meet up with the French VFR community next season, you have some *great* riding scenery and weather (did the Ardeche a few years ago). Only pity about the astronomical fines for traffic violations.
Chris, I don't want to give you the wrong idea. I am not on the selction board however for the life of me I don't know why. I just thought that was a nice picture and it stood a good chance to be selected when the elite selection panel does do their thing. Peace Bro
