Sounds like you had more fun than the rest of us did sitting at work . Glad ya had a good ride, even with a little traffic

Glad it was a good day for ya. I just rode in to work this am at around 6 and it was between 28-30. My temp gauge seems to read low, I'd say maybe mid 30's really. Dark and cold though, and some of the bridges had me a little nervous for black ice. I didn't really expect there to be moisture down. Commuting on the bike is coming to and end soon :frown:

We'll have to get out for one more good weekend ride for sure though

Well Sat not looking to good for me and weather is gonna be cold, not that I care but w/ the wetness I would rather it be 50+ before heading up to the mountains.
Keep an eye out for next sundat temps will be better just need the rain to stay away and the snow.

You'll have to count me out for the rest of the year I think.
We are closing on our house 20Oct and I'm sure I'll be busy every weekend for the rest of the riding season.

Hey, interesting post.. I am on the NY side of western MA so I will have to watch for ride postings from you guys, though I tend to ride a relaxed pace now that I got mortal in my older age. If that doesn't fit in with what you may plan it's fine 4 me. Having bounced off the tarmac a few times in my 40 years of riding I learned not to do that anymore, specially since when you are in your 50's you don't heal up so fast. Looking forward to meeting some of you. Maybe skiing this winter if I can get a weekend off from teaching skiing to those who have more money than I.

Hey Motorhead, it would be great to meet up with ya. Hopefully we'll get out for another one this year. If not spring for sure. As for the pace, it's whatever anyone wants. Certain areas you need to keep it slow. Other areas you can hit pretty hard, but only as much as you're comfortable. We stop a bit so we can all meet up then to stay together, or make a plan to stop at a certain spot - no one has to ride a pace they don't want to. We have a good time on the rides - as long as everyone has fun and is safe, no worries at all about the pace. Keep your eyes out to see if next weekend can work out. Love to get out, but those dewy mornings combined with frosty back roads in the hills - no thanks

Hope to catch up with ya soon

That could be good. I have the annual Ski Instructor Orientation program on Saturday at my mountain, but Sunday could be OK. Have to watch the weather. Sounds like a good group to ride with. The only "frosty" I prefer is from Wendy's.

I can vouch for them - a great group to ride with. I was hoping to get back up there before the weather turned but as it turns out, barely had time to ride at all lately. I'm hoping for one last ride but between weather and family, I might be done for the season. Hope to catch up with you guys soon.

I'm not ready for the season to end. I'm hoping this cold spell was just that, a spell. If you guys ride again, let me know and I will see if I can join in. I've always ridden alone, but it does sound like a good group with a great attitude.

Saturday - RAIN!!! We couldn't buy luck with a fist full of $20's this year. I have plans Sunday so no can do. Maybe some of you can get out then?

Maybe the weekend after. So, what's that, Halloween? Errr, that may not work either. I'm optimistically hopeful at this point though

    Anyone get out yesterday?
    What a perfect day!
The wife and I closed on our first home and went and sat in our back yard and enjoyed the sun.
    Life is looking good.

I took advantage of the good weather today and rode in to work, Boston.
A little chilly at 6am but it should be in the 60's this afternoon.

I did a 153 mile loop last night between 10pm and 1am, and I wasn't the slightest bit cold in the canyon but when I was doing 70+mph coming home on the 101 South near the 405 interchange... Damn it got cold near Mulholland summit, 53 degrees ( ; :smow:brrrrr.
    Welcome to SoCal:thumbsup:

man, you don't know how good you guys have it in warm weather! It was about 40 this am, and that wasn't bad. I'll ride down to about 20 or so, after that I take the truck.

Plus, that morning dew can get a little, um, frozen lol...so I could do without that
