Finished, pics arn't very good, my camera only likes sunlight late in the day. I was tired of seeing parts scattered around, one piece is much better. May do the wheels later (next set of tires) but I'll debate it since I had white wheels on my 90 CBR1000F, cleaned them every ride.

Last pic was when I brought it home, it was stored 20 years, only 5K orig miles, orig tires had giant cracks in them, I can't believe they held air and made the 50 mile ride home, plus a never adj, never lubed chain.

I'm not a huge early VFR fan, but that machine is very well done. You should be very proud.

WOW! It was pretty darn nice to begin with. I love the RWB scheme - that's timeless!

Nice work! I'm not far behind you, I finished the blue and clear on my tank and front fairing this afternoon.

Did you color sand and buff after clearing?

No, the clearcoat came out pretty nice, just polishing a few times later on should do it. I'm tired of sanding!

I restored these old but great Pattern Planes, they fly super but no more sanding.

Pic of Tank after clearcoat a little more flow enhancer it woiuld've been perfect.

Awesome! I've been messing around lately with a CAP 232 and an Extra 330L (both with O.S. surpass motors) but they don't compare to the Wolfgang Matt Diamant I crashed a while back. Still kicking myself for that one

sorry my post is off topic the bike is beautiful too!

I have a YS FZ120 in the Meridian it pulls hard on 30% Heli and leaves a nice smoke trail. The YS Supercharged engines are more finiky than the the OS thou.

Yea YS's are a pain but man do they scream! I had a YS fz63 in a Sig King Cobra 60 (my favorite kit btw) a while back and it was a great engine but sometime was a pain to start because it would flood all the time.

What % castor oil is in that heli fuel? I imagine its around 25% at least! Probably $30 a gallon too!

King Cobra and the Patriot are cool planes.
I don't run any castor, it gums everything up. I think oil content in 30 Heli is about 23% it runs great and leaves a nice smoke trail. The 20% heli is good in all the engines I've run it in too. I got tired of having different fuels so I run 20 or 30 Heli in my planes, heli's with 2 or 4 strokes in them. I've been getting 20 heli for $25 a gallon (pricey but it performs nice. That Nitro shortage fugged up the fuel prices.

Looks nice. I agree that white wheels are a pain to clean but they will really make this bike look fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
