I voted remus. Just because they are shorter and look better. Oh yeah and carbon. I have not heard a set in person.

My real favorites are the gutted stock ones. IMO they sound the best of all the ones I have heard. All the ones I have heard on a 6th gen are pretty quiet. The leo vinces sound like stock. Staintunes sound absolutely incredible just not enough volume.

I am happy with my Two Brother's nickel plated carbon fibre " Stash " system.

why don't you have the "Two Brothers" up there?

I've not seen a 6th gen with an aftermarket exhaust yet
    so I won't vote

Mine came with the 2 Bros Dual V.A.L.E Exhaust, see my gallery for pictures. I like the sound, looks and performance. I don't like the fact that the exhaust only runs through one muffler, though they are interchangeable. If I were buying I would get a Remus system.

When I was in NC last week, I heard a current VFR (it was Asphalt in color so I guess that makes it an 04) that had the stock cans gutted and the end caps tack welded back on. It sounded so freaking cool that I wanted follow the guy just to listen. It sounds just like TWO Ducatis going down the road simultaneously.

As far as the aftermarket cans, I find the ones that are as short or shorter than the tail section look the best. The Microns stick out way to far and look stupid in my opinion.

    KC-10 FE out...

I just gutted a set of spare stockers and they sound better than any aftermarket system I've heard. Before I sealed them back they were mean, really mean, so I played around with some of that jb weld putty and filled in the seams where I cut until I got the sound I was satisfied with. It cost me $85.00 for the spare set of pipes, $10.00 for the 2 tubes of jb weld putty, and @ 3 hrs. total. Alot better than $500-$700 on aftermarket pipes.

In my opinion the gutted stock cans sound like crap and you really aren't gaining anything. You still have the weight, you still have the giant ugly stock cans and you still haven't gained anything, except noise.

+1...In fact a gutted stocker usually means a small downgrade in performance, especially with compression.

Why is Micron, now defunct, in this thing while Two Bros. is absent?

I know the V.A.L.E. gets bashed for using only one of the cans but all one has to do is look at the torque increases to understand why Two Bros went with a 4 into 1 set-up. While all systems give relatively the same benefits, not one of them can claim the 9 lbs. of added torque( at least with some good mapping ) that the Two Bros offers.

No Worries, that loss can turn into an increase with one trip to the dynojet dyno guy, flip a few numbers and parameters around and BAM!, instant 4hp increase  It must be stronger...it's louder......

i have gutted stock cans on my 07 red 6G which sounded better than stock, perhaps a little more throatier. i thought they sounded pretty good.

when i bought my 07 RWB 6G it already had the Ti LV's and these sound awesome. certainly louder, definately more fun to listen too.

my mate likes to ride behind me for that very reason..
