that cbr is an awesome bike. i drove it about 500 miles, from tampa to key west. its nice on the highway bot will wear you out at speeds under 60mph. you need high wind speed to build up pressure under you and keep weight off your wrists to keep you comfortable.
its got a slip on, fender eliminator, and flush mounts, it is extremely slim and light weight.
stock dry weight is listed at 386lbs and horsepower is rated at 118 at the crank! the cbr is in most respects a stunt bike. you can literally throw the bike down, hard on the ground, and walk away with no ill effects. frame sliders that will make any vfr owner who has paid for a new fairing, green with envy... also noteworthy is how perfect the fueling is factory, and just how all around smooth the engine is. you can literally put it 6th gear at 20 mph and feed in full throttle, the bike wont even so much as hiccup. it justs pull away, ultra smooth and vibration free.

i do like the bike ,but i feel much more comfortable and secure pushing the vfr hard ,than i do pushing the cbr. the vfr just always fells much more secure and well planted at all times. this coupled with the lack of wind and weather protection
on the cbr and im keeping my vfr.

p.s. i almost forgot the most important part. the cbr sounds completely uninspiring and unmentionable next to a vfr. with a helmet on the cbr will actually give me a headache pretty quickly, whereas i will never tire of the sound of an open pipes vfr!

I too Randy, I rode a friends 08 600rr and was quite surprised just how well it handled day to day riding, not all that bad, but I'd have to have the 1000.. BTW The area you ride in Candy just sucks, JK some people have the nerve to post this sort of thing, I tell ya.
    Thanks for sharing.

    lol yeah i get that a lot...:frown:
key west's speed limit is 35mph.
the max in all the keys is 45 here and 55 there.
not too much for curves and zero hills.
the bridges are a squids wet dream though lol.
can you say 7 mile bridge? 7 miles of str8 road, no deer, and no where for cops to lurk!
anyays, there is one awesome road that id like to mount a camera on the tank and share with you guys.

and anyways we dont have winter! nana nana boo boo! lol

I gave up my '95 CBR 900 to get the VFR. I really do miss that bike. the TBR pipe sounded great, and even though I was hard pressed to keep up with the new 600's, the low end grunt of that 9 was just amazing. Nobody could figure out how just on a hard acceleration that the front end would start to pull up. The small, cheap mods helped. Started killing me keeping her together, so I traded. :frown: but I do love this VFR.

I guess I missed the point of this thread. I though this was about those beautiful shots of the water and shoreline.
