Hi guys, just got a Bagster tank cover for my 6th Gen, awesome price on eBay.

I have had these covers before, but am not sure on the fitment of this particular cover. Does the front strap go around the frame itself, or just under the tank?

    TIA, Will

The Bagster is an awesome tank cover and tank bag.

On my '98 I run the strap under and around the steering column.

    How about posting some pics?

Thanks PB, I only loosely fitted it this morning as I left for work, will get a chance to look at it properly on the weekend and might post some pics then. The main issue is that on a 6th Gen it looks like it'll be fairly difficult to run the strap under the steering head etc as the fairing is in the way. I don't really want to remove both main fairing panels each time I need to remove the cover for some reason...

    To answer my own question:

The strap has to be run under the front of the frame behind the headstem. If you have small hands like me, it can be carefully routed without having to remove anything at all; just be sure that you route it so that no pipes, wires, etc are caught between strap and frame.

you can mod the straps on the bag and make a clip that goes under the front mounting tab on the tank. ( 2 bolts you have to remove to flip tank to get at air box )
I have not done this but have seen it on a few other bikes w/ a quick release hooks that connect to tab.
