I am in the process of buying a 8 spoke wheel from a board member and I was wondering if there is a significant weight difference between a 5th / 6th Gen 5 spoke wheel and the 8 spoke wheel? Does anyone have a 5th gen rear wheel without a tire on it that they can weigh for me?

    Only the 4th gen.94-97 weights ~1lb less (12lbs), than 3rd (8spoke) 90-93,and 5th-6th gens 98-current (13.1lbs)

Does that mean that the 8 spoke wheel weighs either the same or one pound less than a 5 spoke 5th/6th Gen wheel?

The normal dimensions for a 5th/6th gen wheel is 5.5" wide and its accepts a 16" tire, right? I will have to measure it to make sure that I can put the Honda designed tire for my bike.

Does anyone know if the 10 spoke 8th gen wheel is lighter than the 5th/3rd gen wheels?
