You cleaned it after the crash didn't you RV... admit it. No bike goes away that clean after tackling a dear. Get your 1098S that you always wanted. Or maybe the 1198S now.

There's nothing wrong with having sentimental feelings for one's ride...

Thanks guys, you're all a hoot, and I know what you all mean.
Damn Randy that hits home, that TP grater gives me the chills

Yea, ya know that 1098 has me thinking it might be a good time to try one out, if the price is right on two accounts, "damn insurance rates" and yep I'll be back in the saddle as soon as it makes sense. in the mean time.......
    Hmm a fixer upper huh?

I hope that you kept something sentimental from her. I've got little bits and pieces of past rides around.

I love fixer uppers! Every bike I have owned other than my first(it got stolen)I hope those guys burn in hell but thats another subject... My point being there is something very satisfying in taking something broken or deemeed useless and turning it into something that people stop look and complement you on. Just my thoughts :)

    well...since you mentioned the 'D' word....

here are some pics of my best mate and riding buddy, mark's 1098.

mark was back here in NZ in august this year (lives / works in middle east for DHL) and we did some touring on the 6G's.

if you want the skinny on owning a 1098, i will hook you up with him.
(actually jay, you'll see his avatar on my FB page)

mark uses his 1098 as a track bike mostly as he says the sands on the roads are a bit of a nightmare for bikes. and the cagers are lethal!

check out this rear tyre wear....this baby goes all the way...

Nothing wrong with that - I completely identify - - every bike I live with awhile and then sell - I am sick to my stomach for a couple months later.

Good luck - get well - and replace it with something cool!

Speaking of keeping any spares, just so happens I'll be offering up what looks to me a repairable 4th gen stain tune all though not perfect I think it's worth it in what I'm asking.....

........for the cost of shipping you get one.
