dammit.....I'm already doing a tech day on the 19th with my KLR buddies....would have like to ride with some fellow viffers.

 

I'm a nogo on sunday....but don't hold up on account of me cause saterday is even a wild card for me...

I was thinking about hitting Bear Mountain/West Point tomorrow morning. You in? Anyone?

 

Well im'm comming down with some illness... but so long as my lung doesnt blacken and die i should be good for a Sat morning run. I need to be back earlier than later though. packing for vacation.

 

Where are you coming from? I am taking the Parkway to 17 N, going to leave 08859 (Sayreville) at about 8:45.

 

I can ride either day, but not both. I need to be back by 3ish, but I can always peel off early.

Dino - If you go Saturday morning, what time you thinking? Meet up place? I'd like to do Bear Mtn - never been there. I won't be getting home until about 2:00am Saturday morning, and need to get a few hours of beauty sleep.

Bbwong - no chance of making it on Saturday?

 

So i assume that means you will be going to exit 163. I'm not all to far from there. I'd like to make it to my doorstep at approx 2PM but like pliskin i can flake off whenever i need to. Pliskin unless you want to meet more north I am meet you along 80 somewhere. It seems ur comming from Budd lake. If you guys will be on later i'll look into this later tonight.

 

If x163 is 17 N.B. then yes thats what I take to 87, to Sloathsburg to 7 Lakes Drive. A good meeting place is the Dunkin Donuts on 17 in town at say at about 9:30am. I am betting that now that the kids are back in school that the roads should have light traffic, we just need to look out for "tree hugging hikers":crazy:

Do you mean "Costa Verde" on Rt 9 in Sayreville? I never liked it.

 

Dent - Where are you at exactly? The "North East' doesn't narrow it down! Pending an answer from Dino below - and where you are - I'd be happy to meet up with you. I'm at exit 26 roughly, so I'd head east to get to 287. Now if you happen to know a good way to go up through Greenwood Lake and Sterling Forest (or possibly even Route 94 up through Vernon and into NY), I'd be willing to to that rather than slab it. If I slab, I can be at Dunkin Donuts in about 45 minutes.

Dino - Are you talking about the Dunkin Donuts in Sloatsburg or Tuxedo, NY? I think its on the left when heading north? If you want to meet there at 9:45, that'll work for me. Please confirm, but I'll be there.

Bbwong - No prizes - thanks for asking. I failed miserably, lol. I'm sorry you can't make it. Do you want to consider a short jaunt on Sunday morning? I can probably get out early AM, but would have to be back early as well. if you want...

The one in Sloathsburg, just a warning...ride slow on that part of 17, the pork bros are usually in that area.

And no, it wasn't a bike cleaning contest. It was a bass fishing tournament.

And my bike is still filthy from last weekend's ride in the rain. I've been too lazy to clean it. Maybe after work tonight...

 

How about 9:00 at the Dunkin Donuts in Sloatsburg, it there an echo in here? Can you eat any of fish you caught?
