Let's get this straight; the DN-01, the Furby, and now the NT700V.
It sure seems that honda is trying very hard to get out of the motorcycle bussiness.:crazy:

Honda has no fking clue what Americans want.Who needs overweight 570lb underpowered bike with 65HP:eek: FK SV650 is 170lb lighter....and cost 4k cheaper.
"And fire the current staff at American Honda. I work at a dealer and talk with the reps and can't believe how many from Honda do NOT ride a motorcycle so they have no clue of what American riders want. Stop making excuses about the economy and marketing. People bought out the Vmax. Ducati is selling well. BMW is selling all their GS and have now a waiting list for 2010 models. Hire some people who actually ride a motorcycle. All the other reps from manufacturers show up on their products. Honda reps show up in a rental car and don't even have a clue of license regulation of the state."

Ok folks lets be honest which idiot at Honda decided that 15k scooter posing as motorcycle is a good idea or plastic literally everywhere chopper 2yr late when all the fade is over about choppers.
Do these idiots talk to real Motorcyclists?I am pissed:mad: I want Euro CB1000R here! Fking deuchbags

it is a bit odd. I always admired hondas growing up but nothing in the current lineup truly moves my soul.

When Mr. Honda died, the passion left the company. I honestly think the Corporate Car bean counters run Honda Motorcycle now...

We need another VF1100 or similiar. Superbikes have become well beyond the average ability and the standards and criusers have fallen on there faces. Who the hell but a harley rider is gonna buy a bike that cant do 12 flat 1/4 mile or close to 4 sec 0-60. I realy wish they would take that go fast tech and give us a real liveable bike that can eat up the streets and spank all the other bikes out there.

The other reason you bring it over, it so test the market here for the VFR1200X, which will be a model of the new VFR platform that is an adventure / GS fighter:

I could NOT agree more! When Soichiro died, the passion definitely left the company and no longer were designs built from passion. Now designs/products are created based on accounting numbers and what they can sell. It is so unfortunate. The passion is what brought me to Honda.

Like many others here, there is nothing in Honda's current line-up (Bikes or Cars) that remotely interests me. It's almost like they've abandoned their existing customers and are concentrating on models to entice new customers in the fold. A true and definite accounting practice....let's get the new customer sales numbers up. We'll worry about the current customers later.

The BMW K1300S is looking very, very nice!

Just my $0.02. Keep the change.

Actually this is very much like Honda's thinking. They came out with the PC800 (Pacific Coast) back around 98. It's kind of funny about what has been said here and this old review: First Impression: Pacific Coast 800 - Motorcycle.com

It reminds me of a BMW RS/T bike. Seems like a sensible bike for commuters. Most commuters are just that. They don't need blazing speed. This bike will still out perform most cars. They want to go from point A to point B with some comfort and lots of reliability. Nice to have integrated bags for your junk. Always have storage. There are those out there that won't buy a sport bike, being over their heads, or a big heavy cruiser or land yacht touring machine. I think it is a small segment though. Who knows this might be the time for it because of gas prices. It wasn't that well received before and wonder why Honda thinks it's going to work now.

Things have changed. We got lot more choices now and we are lot more smarter about our money.
10k 570+ underpowered bike is hardly a cause for excitement. The point here is about passion and new but brilliant ideas not marketing driven BS bikes that have no relevance to public.
