Have you thought about raising your forks in the triple clamp just a touch to change the geometery, put a little more weight on the front tire? I know this shouldn't be necessary, but it might make a difference. I suppose another option would be to raise the rear a little as well, this would give the same effect. Still haven't been through the Sportbike course, even though now I'm the lead instructor here at Spang. Again, the offer stands, if you ever stop on through, gimme a ring!!!

Go for the brand new for 2009 Pirelli Angel. I saw them today on a Triumph Sprint ST. The guy on the Triumph pulled in behind us at an intersection & I could see him sparking his center stand in turns behind us. When we stopped for a drink, the guy pulled in with us. He's only had the tires for a week & said they are unreal. I know no one really cares about how their tires look, but these things look freaking awesome.

Since you commute, you probably want a tire that will give you some extended life. So, I would recommend the Michelin Pilot Road 2CT or Pirelli Diablo Strada. From what I understand, it is not uncommon for either of these tires to go nearly 10000 miles before replacement. I don't know a single person that hasn't like any tire Michelin makes & I absolutely love my Pirelli tires.

It's my wife's bike so I'm not changing anything unless she wants me too.

If all goes as planned, I will be in Koblenz for 2 weeks in October. I'll send you a PM.

My friend & I weather aborted our trip to the Dragon. The rain was coming in sideways & it was actually painful to ride in.

Anyway, he has BT-016's on his SV650S. The did quite well in the rain. He had no complaints.

I just put Shinko Raven 009's on my 06. I have 380 miles on them since last weekend. I have to say I am totally impressed by them. Great feel, stable at high speed. Smooth at highway speeds and love the corners. I ride pretty hard, front chicken strips are almost to the edge and the backs is about 1/4 inch. Not a single slip or push. I cannot believe I waited this long to try them. If I did not have complete confidence in them, they would be in the trash can.

So why don't you start a Shinko thread & review them?

Just realize this... There is a very large reason you don't see Shinko tires on any bike on the starting grid of anything above a track day.
