Agreed, I've always liked the navy blue VFR700's. Even though this one shows obvious signs that it's been repainted, at least it was done tastefully with considerations for the stock appearance.

I was just wondering if anyone on the forum that has done an F2 front wheel swap (not entire front fork assy etc.) has the measurements for how much needs to be machined from the rotor posts and measurements for the spacers on the wheel. I just bought a set of F2 wheels, rotors, cush drive, sprocket and want to get going with this ASAP.

Check out hondavfr.org . You can find all the details you need for the F2 wheels on the VFR700 on that site.

The owner is changing hosting services so it's temporarily down (http://www.hondavfr.org/index-.html). I'll shoot a message to the guys and see when it will be running again.

Since you're in Finland, you could try and get a set of CBF 600N wheels, they're cool looking, and the 5" rear should fit nicely.

It would be the same amount of work to fit.

I checked out of the available parts in finland and there was no CBF wheels on sale... i think i´m gonna stick with the cbr600F2 wheels because those bike are more common here... but i would still like to know is the swap easy and safe to do? if somebody would be so kind and tell me all about this wheel swapping thing? if it needs some spacers it wont be a problem? and the hondavfr.org servers are still down:frown:

The rear wheel swap is pretty easy. You need three new spacers and some modifications to the brake stay arm. The hardest part is cutting the caliper bracket down shorter. I've been wanting to machine one of these to save the hassle but I still have not found a VFR700 to use.

A front wheel swap only has not been done (that I know of). The hondavfr.org site outlines an entire F2 front end swap. You could also swap an F3 front end using the exact same procedure. It's also pretty easy to do and getting the benefit of cartidge forks is well worth the effort.

Okay so rear wheel swap is quite easy and it can be done? but i wouldnt want to change the whole front end because it would be much expensive(and harder to find here) and i have a fatbar also:
    Bomber » vfr700f
And the picture tells also that the speedometer wont be a problem because of the new meter measures the speed from rear brakedisc... but if i purchase both of the wheels from cbr600f2(91-94?) and start installing, i might just make it:thumbsup: pictures of the parts that have to modify would help because of my english knowledge:redface: but i dont want to bother you so i better start to work and maybe ask more info if problems appear:smile: first think to do tomorrow is to hunt down a pair of wheels....... thanks a lot for helping!!!!

The rear isn't too bad, the cutting and welding of the caliper bracket is the most difficult part.

A complete front end change might not be as bad an option as you think. Keep in mind that an F2 wheel would have to be machined to bring the rotor mounting surfaces closer together. Having a machine shop with that kind of capability costs at least as much as a whole front assembly. Plus you get the added bonus of better technology forks. It's really the best way to go, in my opinion.
