Just a heads up. You can not mount the factory hard saddle bags/mounts on your 2002+ VFR with the Two Brothers Racing M2 slip-ons. I made the mistake of running the bike before mounting the saddle bag bkts so TBR will not compensate in any way. I'm going to try to make modifications to the exhuast/mounts to allow the bags to mount. Will update with pics if possible.

If not, I just may have TBR titanium M2 slip-ons for sale. (Paid $900. Ouch!!)

Maybe they would take one back as only one is used.

    Got it together.

With a little effort I was able to mount up the TBR M2 slip-ons. I pulled out the spacers provided by TBR and inserted a 1/2 inch nylon spacer on the left side only to get the mufflers evenly spaced (see pics below). Also had to reshape the clamps to fit the mufflers after twisting them on a 45 degree angle. Thats the only way that they will clear the saddle bag mounting bkts. Normally the mufflers are mounted horizontally. The way i have the muffs mounted the TBR emblem is upside down but is mostly hidden under the tail section.

    taking it all into account,

labor, cost, looks, stress, and sound.

    do you regret doing it?

I'm thinking about the same exhaust, and I have the hard bags too.

I don't regret it. I think it came out pretty good. I didn't even think to ask if the bags would fit with the system. I just assumed that it would since so many 6th gens have them. If I had to do it all over again, i'd probably try to find out which systems fit with the bags and then see if I liked any of them. If I didn't like any, I'd go with these in a sec.

Did you do the work yourself? I bought the M2's yesterday based on a recommendation on the VFRD discussion board. They said that they fit, but from he looks of it, it's a tight fit. But, they look awesome. I am going to print your pictures and give it to my mechanic. This way if he states they don't fit...I will have proof. Awesome job! Do you have a power commander as well? I purchased the M2's and a PC. Now I am looking for a Pipercross or a BMC air filter to up my horsepower and torque.

I purchased Hondaline hardbags last week with the bike. They have not been mounted yet as its been so frickin cold up here. The bike is a brand new 06 and still has the factory exhaust. I will more than likely switch out after break in. Does anybody else have experience with hardbags and other exhaust systems? I was looking at the Leo Vince ovals.

i THINK this is the new system that actually uses both pipes (the old system was pretty obvious since one can was completely blocked off. this one doesn't appear that way).
