Sign me up! I'll take the 5:30am ferry from Bowen Island and MUST be back on the 7pm from Swartz Bay (to make the last ferry back to Bowen that night).

This is a major Hmmm  as if I don't get a certain flying gig I may have to jump on in with this one, but notice that's a May LOL I have my passport, now to look at the PA ferry times to see how that plays into it, that drive up the canal is so unpredictable.

Good to hear that you're joining us Raro!

BTW guys, will it be OK if my bro from Edmonton joins us in his K1200S? He plans to be on the island that week and he asked if he could tag along for the day ride.

Also the breakfast at my place is out, sorry guys.
My wife was supposed to be off that day and she agreed to help with the breakfast before getting the kids ready for school. But today she found out that she has a training course that day that she cant get out of. That means I have to get the kids ready for school that day and it would be impossible to organize a breakfast for everyone as well. Anyway, my plan now is after sending the kids off to school, I'll hook up with the group at Timmys on Millstream Rd for breakfast before the ride. If anybody else have a suggestion please feel free to share.

    Thanks.

Ok, it's 10 days and counting.........14 day forecast looks good for the 10th, above average temps for Victoria (20+) and just below average for Lake Cowichan (15+) and it looks like it will cloudy with sunny breaks.

From reading everyones travel plans, I'm guessing that we should be able to meet up at 0800-0830 hrs at Tim Hortons at Millstream Rd for breakfast. If you prefer to eat somehere else, I know of a couple of places along the way. Mom's Kitchen in Sooke, Coastal Cafe in Port Renfrew and Dermod and Dudleys in Lake Cowichan.

If anyone has other suggestions pls chime in.

I have done the drive to Port Renfrew, but didn't know you could go on to Lake Cowichan?
Tim Hortons, Mom's Kitchen (haven't tried) I am good with anywhere. As for your brother, I say bring him along!

Of course Borg bring him, I always wanted to get a K1200S

Looking forward to it, it's going to be fun and different for us mainlanders.

If one of those other places is special maybe we should try one of them. I don't mind Timmy's either. Mom's Kitchen kinda sounds cool.

Do we need anything special for the ferry ride for those that have done it. Tie downs etc?

Nope. The ferry corp offers wood block wedges (one fits perfectly under my folded centerstand on the side opposite the kickstand) to prevent tipping over.

I'll go wherever the group wants.
