Sold my '93

Sold her due to trust issues. Theres no VFR for me in the near future, but one day another will come.

 

Are you going to get another bike? If so, what do you have in mind?

i was looking for a 5th gen vfr, but havent seen any decent ones for under 5k around here. picking up a superhawk tomorrow. plus something i found odd was insurance is about half the price for a superhawk then for the 5th gens.

 

What do you mean by "trust" issues?

Tanner has an awesome 99 for cheap on CL manassass as well as the NESBA board. Saw the bike a few weeks ago, spotless. I think it's in your price range and worth a look.

I'm looking for a 3rd gen. I didn't know there were problems with the 3rd gen. Was it just your bike in particular? How many miles was on it?

 

the problem was the PO didnt take very good care of it, and i think it was sitting for a while. because when i got it i would ride it everyday and every week i would have to fix something. theyre awesome bikes, just make sure you know its history.

 

the only 99 i saw up there was listed for 5000. my price range was below 3000 lol. picked up the superhawk for 2500.

 

Forgive my ignorance, but what happens if it sits for a while. Wouldn't a tune up bring it back to life?
