I just finished installing a set of Pro Italia billet clip-ons on my 6th gen VFR. They were made for a '96 Triumph Speed Triple. I found them on Ebay for $170. They're about 1.5" higher than the stock bars, and about 1.5" back. The only mod required to make them fit the Honda was drilling a dimple in each bar for the stock controls. The Honda bar ends don't fit, I'm not sure if I'm going to modify them or get new ones. The down angle is adjustable, in the upper position they match the angle of the stock bars, and they can be angled down several degrees.

The next picture shows the setback with just the right side installed. It looks close to the tank, but because of the extra height it doesn't get any closer than stock at full lock.

I only had time for a short ride since the swap, but wow what a difference. No more weight on my wrists!

Yes, same size forks as the Honda, 43mm. The price on the package was $289, but I paid $170. They may be discontinued, I can't find them on the Pro Italia site.

I am so glad that the stock bars and controls just feel Sooooo right.
    Nothing added, nothing taken away!

Is 6' and 170# the design rider profile?

Funny. I almost bought some of those on ebay a month ago. wonder if they're the same ones.

Could be. It seemed like he was selling a bunch of old stock from somewhere.

I've ridden a couple hundred miles and they are great! No more wrist pain.

They don't come any closer to the tank than the stock bars, because they are up higher. I can turn full lock no problem.
