For the third year in a row our Friends & close neighbors held a "biker bash" just a half mile from our house here in rural Ohio. Buffalo Hollow
This was our second year and the event gathers about 3000 people, kinda small, but is a great time. Like you can imagine, harley types all over. But there is allways a small group of "other" bikes. I've had a great time and had actual freindly aguments reguarding our bikes with the Harley loyal guys and allways seek out and complement the guys who show up on old single overhead CB750fours and the occasional pretty bad ass KZ1000 drag bikes.
We were in a tent last year ansd this barrowed an old 84 Winabago and had power (big pluss because I had the foresight to bring my battery trickle charger/ jump box & and became pretty popular with hung over Harley guys sunday am) Kristin was again thrilled by the fact that she once again won "BEST SPORT BIKE" this year (I'm still a little confused that I don't remember her building the race tail or wetsanding with me on those late nites in the shop, she replies with "It's my bike") To add insult to injury, a friend of ours who was with out a bike (and former RC51 owner) borrowed her VFR to compete in the "slow race" in the rodeo events, and beat everyone and got Kristin's gen 3 a second trophey. While the owner of the property & organizer of the event was on stage he was happy to remind all in attendance that not only they got beat by a jap bike, it's owned by a girl.

I am thinkng due the condition of the upper and lower plasics on this bike, retrofitting a more modern set of fairings on this bike. maybe even setting in custom lighting into a set of race plasics of any type I can pick up at a reasonable price.

As for the mods, start with the cool brake lines, I always notice when someone has those.

Actually allready got the braided front lines, CBR900rr front wheel and rotors, jetted, UNI air filter, Heli bars, the R6 race tail, the high mounted two bro's & a couple other little things I'm missing sitting here using my cell phone when I'm supposed to be working. The original plasics left on the bike are not that great. Under the coat of paint, graphics & wax theres alot of cracks, broken tabs & patched holes. It looks good, but I know it's there. Kristin likes the idea of changing out the plasitcs this winter, & if she likes an idea it's up t me to figure out the little details like how the Hell I'm gonna make it work & stay together at 100mph.

I came up from behind while the bikes were talking, and they were all asking my VFR("Precious"), how was it to be able to corner, and the smoothness, they were telling her how smooth her skin was. Then just as I was getting over the surprise, that Harley's actually like VFR's, a Harley rider walked and all the bikes went silent........

    Again....

Went to another one. Not only the lone VFR, but there was no bike there that had more than 2 pistons. No accounting for taste but we both still had a blast.
