I've seen threads upon threads about windscreens but have not seen a review on this specific windscreen:MRA Touring windscreen WITH the adjustable spoiler.
Does anyone on the forum have and use this windscreen?
If so, do you have any buffeting and does this windscreen keep the bugs off of your face shield?
    I'm 6'1".
    Thanks.

There are actually several threads with info on this windscreen, but in a nutshell, it will not keep bugs off your faceshield, even if you are 5'7" (me). It does have very smooth airflow, which is definitely affected by spoiler position.

The "Search" feature will find results if you look for "vario" instead of "MRA"... I have no idea why.

What a strange coincidence I have been using one of these MRA vario windscreens for about two years, but have just removed it and put the standard screen back on, so my opinion of them is as follows: They are very well made and easy to fit, but from my experience don't help much at all, I have tried the small blade in various positions, but it doesn't seem to make much difference, and it also makes the ride very noisy even with ear plugs fitted, I find the bike is better with the standard screen fitted, so I wouldn't recommend buying one.

Thanks for your input. It sure would seem that a sport-touring bike would have a windscreen that would screen wind.

Depends so much on your height, the seat, the bars, the moon phase I think.

I am short and you would think that the zg touring 16" (which I had) or the givi touring 18" (which I also had) would have been perfect in directing the wind over my helmet.

No luck...I am using the MRA spoiler 14" and find the wind in my chest is the best for me...much less helmet noise, nicer in the heat since I get some air flow and it looks much better :)

Unfortunately, I didn't come across a great way to determine all this other than buying each one.

I went back to the OEM windscreen from the Givi touring screen, and like it the best. I'm 6'1". I get noticeable wind at the shoulders only at high speeds, but my helmet area stays pretty calm. I'm happy with the OEM. I've ridden 750 mile days and the wind was the least of my concerns, including while riding in torrential downpours. I wear ear plugs and hear virtually no wind noise. Sometimes I wonder if they actually do any kind of meaningful wind tunnel testing on these aftermarket screens that are available from several sources.

The problem i been having is im getting wind blast from behind and the sides, it throws the bike side to side on windy days on the freeway. It started right after putting on my ZG DB.

That just goes to show how the same screen can have different results for different folks/bikes. I put the GIVI Touring on my 6th Gen and found it to be a huge improvement over stock; on my 4th gen the ZG works great. Screens are like clothes; until you actually try them on...

My own experience: I searched for a way to minimise wind noise (drives me fucking crazy!) and settled on the MRA Vario X-Creen as being a good solution.

    ""Was it?", you ask.

Well, yes and no. - When set to a fairly vertical position, the X-Creen actually increases wind noise to an unbearable level. You can tuck in and be below the level of the screen and thus be out of the wind and noise...but I don't ride that way. The best setting I have found is to have the X-Creen almost horizontal, which deflects the air onto my torso and is much quieter than any other setting...but I don't want the wind deflected onto my torso!

All in all I would not recommend the X-Creen. I am still looking for that perfect touring screen...
