    Hi Guys,
I found this mounted in the end of the subframe tube. It doesn't look stock. Anyone seen this before? I'm guessing it's a reinforcement for something. Maybe saddlebags.

Nope, I checked my Mr. Fusion and it isn't connected to this at all.

Anyone else have one of these brackets on their bike.

Seriously, has anybody seen this before? It is a stamped, manufactured part with a gold cad finish. It fits in the end of the rectangle subframe perfectly and appears to reinforce the subframe. There must be some reason for this. Curiosity is just killing me.

Sorry, I can't tell you what it IS, but after having a good look through my side bag installation diagrams, I can't see any parts that look like this, so I doubt it has anything to do with side bags...

It is a factory honda part and should have been on the bike from the factory between the stock plate mount and rear sub frame.

are you orig owner??? do you have fender eliminator on the bike??
I would say someone took it off figuring it is not needed and unless you run the hard bag mount it is not.

It's stock? I'm not the original owner. When I got the bike it was installed, but the mount holes don't look stock on the top side. I looked at my friends 2002 and he doesn't have it. Doesn't even have the mounting holes on the top of the tube. I also checked the parts diagram and couldn't find any reference to it. If everybody has this stock, why doesn't anyone recognize it? Delorian part, orifice plug, factory part. I'm confused

Are you saying it mounts differently than in the pic? Maybe that's the thing?
My bike already had the fender eliminator when I got it. and this part was mounted in the subframe tube like in the picture.

If you go back to my plate mod thread and look at 2nd and 3rd pic you will see black painted bracket that mounts behind the plastic plate mount and bolts thru gold bracket
then the hard bag sub frame bolts to that reinforcement just under the license plate.

I am not the org owner of my bike but it came from the factory w/ Givi hard bags installed, thus maybe on bikes ordered from honda w/ hard bags has this and non special order bikes do not. As far as your friends bike, it has to have the holes cause the plate mount is bolted to it. Now I'm confused.

I will look in manual and see if I can find it.
    I will report back.

His bike has the lower holes that you can see in the pic where the plate mounts bolts. He does not have the holes on the top of the frame tube that the other end of this bracket bolts to.

HI Notslow, sorry, I missed that in the diagram...

Now, IF you're not using it, is there any chance you're willing to part with it? I sourced my hard bag mounts second hand and did not get that bit...

Please shoot me a PM if you want to dispose of it, thanks.
