    Yo fellas,
I have a red '07. Got on it a few days ago and noticed I didn't have directionals. No flashers and no indicators on the dash. Hmmm...figured it was a fuse, something easily replaced. Went to do just that when I got home after letting the bike cool down for a few hours, turned the key to check one more time (maybe it was a gremlin?), and this time, NOTHING. No lights, no horn, no tach, speedo, etc. The only thing running was the clock, which I assume runs directly off the battery. The bike still starts and runs, although it felt a bit choppy.

Took it in to my local shop - great place, smart guys and they've worked on my bikes for years, so I trust them. They're currently looking at the bike, and I'm sure they'll quickly diagnose the problem.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem. By the by, I washed the bike over the weekend, and I'm wondering if I might have shot some water where I shouldn't have. Any comments?
    Thanks,
    Denman

Honda recall was for 2002-2005 VFR's. Sounds like one or more fuses could be blown. Check them all and test your battery output voltages at idle (should be greater than 12.7 volts) and at 5k RPM (should be great than 14 volts).

R/R's are known to be archille's heel of VFR's, but not so much 6th gen's from 2006 to current.

Did you use a highpressure washer to clean your bike? That could have gotten water in somewhere it is not supposed to, and/or knocked something off.

What are you referring to when you say "R/R's"?
And no, i just used a garden hose with a nozzle, but I've got some pretty serious water pressure...

Regulator/Rectifier. It is the heatsink looking thing below your right grip and behind your upper right fairing. It converts the AC coming from your alternator to DC (along with dissipating a lot of heat in the process) and sends the DC to the battery to charge it.

Sounds a bit odd for an 07. I don't think that washing it would have done it unless your really aggressive.

Still kinda sounds like fuses to me. Why they're blowing though....
