It's funny that I just saw this thread. I was at my dealer today to order 10 clips, 2.84 each. I couldn't believe how much they were. Robbery.

These ones from fastnerwarehouse.com work great! A little tight, and they will probably be a PITA to get out but at less than .50 cents a pop they are practically disposable.

7-17-09, Nope I was wrong. I just had my fairings off yesterday, not nearly the pain that I thought they were going to be. I think the stock ones look better in/around the instrument panel/guage bezel but I really like that the TR240s fit tighter, plus look and feel more durable than the stock ones.

I just went to Advance Auto Parts and got the screw type trim clips (about $1.00 for 4. Sure it meant enlarging the holes to 1/4" (takes all of about 10 minutes to do all trim clip holes), but now I don't have to worry about snapping them when taking them off.

Affirmative, I bought a whack of these and the thicker ones for my Grizzly ATV cuz I'm forever blowin those off, (corner, tree, mud, crash,$hit !!). They work great and come out easily . Especially when you take a grinder to an old pair of needle nose pliers and create an "extraction tool". A little silicomne lube on the inside pin helps too. Hmmm $.19 for generic VS $ 4.52 Cdn at the dealer, lemme think on that one...........................
