What science and environmentalism in general dont understand is that the process of natural selection has gone on for much longer than we humans have had our puny little hands all mixed into the affairs of earth. Natural selection will take thousands of species from this planet and will replace them with thousands of others. Humans may accelerate the process or decelerate it by meddling but the end result is the same.. nature wins. My theory is that it is ignorant and possibly futile to "F" with natures plans and kind of like "little big man" syndrome to think we can alter the process of natural selection enough to seriously disrupt earth's entire ecological system. Im not saying we shouldnt be proper stewards of our flora and fauna, quite the opposite actually, we need to be as carefull as possible.. but we can never override natures will. If she wants rid of the spotted owl we cant stop her.

It took me quite a while to warm up to the idea that water is the most abundant solvent on earth, but I'm pretty much ok with it now

I know pretty cool. For a long time I was sure beer was the universal solvent what with all the beer trucks you see around, not to mention all the TV advertising. Then I found out that beer actually has WATER in it.

    Whoa

Good thing water in it's regular form doesn't taste like bacon. There wouldn't be any left

I've been having this feeling lately that something is missing. Something is just off a bit. After giving it a lot of thought I finally have it. I need a midget in my posse. Oops I guess they're called little people now. Anyways I don't even know any. That needs to change

    Your thought folks?

Midgets are just perfectly proportioned people who are unusually small. You want to get yourself a dwarf.

I know the difference cause I been thinking about it for awhile. And midget would be perfect. But if dwarf is all that's available that would be ok. I'm not that picky.

Do you have one in your posse? That would be cool
Now before anyone gets their panties in a wad I am not trying to be mean
I just realized I don't know any little people

so, I went yesterday to a local small shop, and upon walking up I saw a _VERY_ dirty R6 sitting there. Looked like it had been down. Upon futher inspection, I looked and nope, it was just dirt. This bike was filthy. Like to the point no self respecting bike owner would be riding this thing. Then I was told the story.
This guy was not from our area. He was from Utah, somewhere, and after a straight 15 hrs of seat time his chain gave out. No shock as wherever the shop was that put his new tires, chains, sprokets on had put on the wrong chain. The sprokets were shot because of it. He was on his way to Eastern PA. on an R6. I could see doing this on more of a cruiser, but if it's all you got, then so be it. But, for those of you that live in the miwest know what kind of wather was going on then. I was off at a car show in Ohio myself. I guess it rained all day, and in about a 4 hour time span we had gotten about 3 - 3.5 inches of rain. There comes a time when you just gotta bit the bullet and take a cage. I would think that even renting would of been a better option than riding that far in the downpour that we got.
Local shop got him to a local enteprise and he continued on. I guess we will be there yet today sometime to get back on and go back home.
I was shocked, because I know on the CBR I had (which was a pretty comfy bike) abotu 3 hrs from home and I was screaming for mercy. There was no extra padding, nothing on the factory seat.
hurst my ass just thinking about a ride that far, about non stop - he did stop when the rain just got too bad under overpasses, or when fueling.
