Coward! Friggin hit and run is the most cowardly thing a person can do. I hope they catch that person and lock them up for good. Accidents happen but owning up to them is the responsibility of everyone! My prayers to the victim and his family.

Had a hit and run in KC recently, pedestrian not motorcyclist thank goodness, and the guy got 120 days, plus he was also DUI. He turned himself in three days after the event, don't know how they knew he was DUI. Threw the body about 150 ft down the road and they found the guys leg another 200 feet beyond that. The judge gave him credit for time served: 120 days. What a crock!!

they should give him the same punishment. Put him in the middle of the road and have a drunk driver hit him with a car.

ok, I need to retract my earlier comment, lets stick with this... I find the "comments" section of the article total BS. First off, if the newspaper is wrong, it must print a retraction, and correct the account according to public record. Second, if the reporter had at least a high school education, he would have pulled the police report... again, given this is public record; not to mention there is a potential manslaughter charge here, AND that this was done on a state road, whereas the CHP are investigating, the police report would be most accurate as possible. And lastly, the final tear of the total BS from the un-accounded "wittnesses" who posted the "real story", is the fact that a user, claiming to be the dead mans sister, writes in to support the conjecture with the comments of " thank you for trying to save my brothers life to those who performed CPR". I mean come on. Your sibling dies, and 4 days later you feel the need to post as a comment on a newspaper report online?!? Give me a effing break. Oh, I almost didnt believe the story, until I looked back at the users name and it read "NORMA HEREDIA", and the fact that it was written all in CAPS. Clearly this must be factual, correct information.

I dont know whats worse, the stupid 4 wheelers out there who commit a crime that ends with a mans life taken, or the sick tards who leetch onto stories and input their stupid comments as nothing more than their own twisted satisfaction. Pathetic really.

    Very unfortunate.

There have been some revisions to the original story. The best I can gather is that a truck did some illegal driving and ran into the VFR, which bounced off and hit the Toyota head on. The original truck is the one that took off.

That's the way I read it too. The accident recreation has some very strong odour to it. If the bonehead in the Nissan did nothing wrong, why the hell did he rabbit. It was the women in the Tacoma that's caused this poor bastard's death. It will be interesting to read the final version of the events. Although, it doesn't change the results....unfortunately.

    RIP our fellow VFR Rider.

Dude.......... Some of those comments were messed up. Some one posted a crime code of sexual deviance I believe, under a friend of the family's name. Also says he paid his debt, meaning he spent time behind bars for it. Still sucks that a rider had to be hit sitting still. It goes to reason that the Nissan driver had something amiss but was in no fault here. Probably had warrants or maybe illegal or something like that. This is the very reason I'm most worried about cagers when I'm sitting still at a light.

Sounds like it isn't as clear cut a originally reported. I've ridden those roads many times and would like to know what the CHP concludes.

Any more information on the two riders from last night on Uvas road?

I learned a long time ago to stop reading comments on news blogs. They're worthless and all they do is PMO.

There is an article about the Uvas Rd incident. It says a 19 yo CBR rider was hugging his side of the double yellow going one direction and a 40 yo GSXR rider crossed into him coming towards him. both Killed instantly.

Be careful out there folks. Not just what your doing, but watch for the others trying to kill you.

People die every day in traffic accidents with circumstances similar to these accidents. The fact that it happens is tragic, yes, tragic, but life is full of tragedy and it's never going to end. The folks that set off these chain of events never intend to put such things in motion, it is fate. Fate happens. I never read crash articles, never look at accidents on the side of the road and never watch crash videos, I call it bad crash karma. No amount of complaining can ever change what has already been done or what has yet to happen. Let's cut the bullshit, if it had been a Harley rider, this never would have gotten posted, and if it had, I can smell the first comment from here...."stupid squid Harley rider probably wasn't wearing a helmet".

    I don't believe in fate.

4 riders dead because someone couldn't stay on their side of the road, all in the same little stretch of highway, in only 3 weeks time. So maybe some education, awareness and publicity of this will provide someone with the knowledge to make the appropriate decision that results in a life saved in the future. You may bury your head in the sand but I choose not to.

Frankly, I don't give a fuck. Unlike you, I don't really know what truly happened. One thing I do know: If it isn't me it shouldn't concern me. You can be Mr. 10 foot long e-penis if you want, but it can happen to you tomorrow. And if it does, I still won't give a fuck. My head is way above the sands of holier than thou bullshit that permeates society. People die.
