I got home about 10 last night. I left right after the GP race. Too bad I missed the super sports and such. OH WELL.

Those of you with predictions...WRONG.
Honda made us proud yesterday, but if you don't like Pedrosa you were not happy.

It was a weekend of crashes. Turn 5 was taking people out left and right. As of Saturday night it was unclear if Lorenzo or Stoner would even race. But the Sun shone bright on Sunday and everyone was on their bike. The little Spaniard raced his cold little heart out and did not even give Rossi a chance at a pass. Stoner is dealing with lingering health issues that slowed him down. Lorenzo was on the podium with his teammate. And HOLY SMOKES, Nicky rounded out the top 5!

Very nice weekend. Great racing, great company, great seats(Thank you, NCB's sister). Pics to follow.

 

Here's a few pics we got from our trip and weekend at the track....

Pickin'n up Reg and Terry,........ heading out saturday morning, this would be my first trip with all the hard bags mounted and a passenger.....


Our ride up hwy 1 was fantastic. Hardly any traffic, i think we only passed about 5 cars.


The view from our hotel on Canery Row was fantastic. We had rock-star parking right in front of the Spin Drift Hotel. I failed and didn't get a pic of that, but maybe Reg did.


The view of the beach was even more spectacular


Typical parking........ dust, dirt, very scetchy ! But we made it. Saw several riders eat it on the gravel road.


Our trip in to the paddock area was awesome...... got to hang out with the Pegrim crew. We watched some of saturdays GP qualifications from here. Larry is in the center of the pic with the red hair. Thats Lorenzo eating some gravel.... ouch.


Josh Herron's new Stars and Stripes leathers made just for this weekends event. This must be a dryer ? Thought it looked cool.


Here's Bostrom and Hayes signing some autographs. Got to stop and shake Josh Hayes' hand. Told him is wife was hott.


A definate high light for me and Suzy was seeing Valentino in person !!! Suzy's got a big crush on him.

Yep waiting for the photos to arrive so I can see what I missed out on. looks like Laguna all right, how can anyone forget all the dirt and crazy motorcyclist, thanks for sharing Tori. But for christ sakes, what's with all the Rossi love anyway? he's just a good rider, not a rock star. nor god, and he ain't even good looking. Sheesh! Woo hoo for Nicky.

 

Aren't they all just "good riders" ? I like the guy, i like his style, i enjoy the entertainment he provides above being a "good rider" and... the GF loves his accent. LOL. Im not gonna knock that, nothin' better then sharing your hobby with the one you love.

 

V4bear started another thread called "woohoo" somethin' or 'nother. I posted a butt load of pics over there.

Sorry we never met up Tori. I wish we all could have partied a bit. No worries. I partied enough for all of us. Just ask bear and NCB.

 

Superbike provided some extra excitement as well,....especially in the beginning.......

Yes, a total CF ! From the boggle with the lights, to the way they handed out penalties. I've just about given up watching the AMA series any more. Sending the pace car out into traffic was a nice touch. Maybe after someone gets hurt with that shit they'll realize how F'd the new rules are. :crazy:
