So HHO isn't really a molecule...its hydrogen and oxygen. Brilliant.

Why say you're running the car on HHO instead of saying you're running it on hydrogen? Cause it sounds neat-o?

actually electrolysis is less efficient above 2.06 volts. depending on temperature.

Interesting reading, I guess I missed out on a good thread. Anyone reading this in the future may learn a few things. I believe the name was Stanley Meyer, I have copies of his patents and the drawings and schematics of the circuits. I dont fully understand them, although I have a copy of the news video footage of Stan Meyer driving his water powered vehicle across the country in the early 80"s along with the news crew. His idea is sound, who knows if he indeed figured it out.

The conventional science being quoted is mostly correct. What you have to understand is everything has a resonant frequency, and at that frequency or modulation of frequencies you can resonate anything apart. Stan claimed he figured that out, so he was using a fraction of the conventional energy to produce the hydrogen. Every internal combustion engine and turbine can run far better on H2,sorry to have to dispell that but it is true.
Here is the good part if you have kept up so far. You are correct in that by even conventional means you cannot feasibly create enough H2 to run only on H2, but 5-7% h2 mixed with any fuel becomes hydrogen boosted or hyboosted. It essentially skyrockets the octane rating and burns the fuel much faster and efficiently. If there are any questions dont argue with me, go to knowledge publications site or search for their posts on youtube and you will see the actual demo from the guy who started the American Hydrogen Association.
Everyone thinks they are an expert, however I think Stan Meyer may have been the only one, too bad he is dead, and we still want to resurrect that horse only to beat it to death again, and all we can do is wallow in our own ignorance, peace

I heard of it... poor bastard could've singlehandedly solved our dependency on oil, but some @$$hat killed him... the man was seriously onto something

Honda has one of those converters on a bike. It's called The Honda Hindenburg. You can buy one for $19.95+Shipping and Handling from an ad in the back of The National Enquirer.

Hydrogen is the first and simplest element on the periodic table. It is smal, super light and holds the record as the fastest burning gas, its flame propagation speed is something like 200 times faster than gas.
If you know something about the internal combustion engine, gas has to be ignited anywhere between 7-12 degrees BTC because it is a much slower burning fuel. As the piston is still moving up you are igniting and using the inertia to push through the remaining travel to get over TDC and provide usable force on the piston. This createscounter productive forces and stress on the parts, blowby gas and oil consumption. H2 timing is right at TDC(maybe a degree or 2 before) but right about at the top. Because it ignites so fast you have all that expansive power available for forward motive force, less stress on the parts and min. blowby and oil consumption, the engines last many times longer on H2.

Anyone have an idea who uses H2 and fuel cell technolgy the most? look at NASA and DOD, they have known about this stuff for a long time, we are not talking just about outer space, but underwater as well, they have been using fuel cell tech in the subs for many years.

What you have to understand is gas was never the original fuel, it was the alternative. By how long did the internal combustion engine predate gasoline? about 40 years, so what the hell were these engines running on? alcohol, even the original ford model T was alcohol. Ford believed in home grown fuel, but Rockefellar used shady businiess practice to dump dirty toxic chemicals when they were done refining crude oil into all the industrial chemicals, that toxic stuff he called gasoline, and marketed it to the public as an "alternative" to alcohol. If you want all the info go to David Blumes' site on alcohol fuel, it will open your eyes as it did mine.
We as a generation have been duped by higher powers who have always wanted control of the people, it starts by mis-information or no info at all. I thought I knew alot, and only recently had the fliters removed and realized people have gone to great lengths to create the oil dependant country we are.
I hope one of you checks into these things, when you find the truth you wil be compelled to have an open mind, maybe do something to take our country back, that was what Stan Meyer was trying, but lone individuals hardly stand a chance against these people whom I don't consider true Americans.
As for Badbilly, sorry I won't be buying your snake oil from the back of National Enquirer, but it was a nice try! LOL

Please explain to me the composition of H2. H-sub2-O means 2 atoms of Hydrogen and 1 atom of Oxygen, so what the heck is H2? Deuterium?

Also there is more than the ignition timing than just the flame propagation speed, you also have to consider the inertia of air when figuring valve and ignition timing. Hydrogen is explosive, not really a good quality when considering flame propagation. "Knocking" or "Pinging" is gasoline exploding, not burning. From what I understand gasoline exploding, which is what would happen if hydrogen is so much faster, is not necessarily a good thing.

Could be the same people stole his equipment so they could put it with that miraculous 200 mpg carburetor.

A person should be open minded, but not so open minded his brains fall out.

The National Enquirer has a special on just this week. Two hydrogen converters usually $19.95 each are now just two for $49.95+ S&H.

Consider that an ICE can be a rocket or a jet engine as well we might want to reconsider the use of Hydrogen as a fuel for "everyone's" use. Second to the loss of life aboard the Hindenberg was the Hydrogen leak aboard the Spacecraft "Challenger."

Alcohol is a great fuel. Ran that in several dirt bikes. It's used blended with Nitro for "fuel" bikes and cars. Nitro is made from biomass as well. Always wanted to show up at the "All Harley Drags" with a tshirt that says. "Nitro is made from rice in China"

Thousands of acres are planted for biomass fuel (alcohol) at the expense of feeding the hungry and the ruination of rain forests.

Sure wish I had the answer to all this, I could buy one of those new VFR's with a toaster on it and a lifetime subscription to The National Enquirer.

From my dusty dingy high school chemistry memories..........

H2 is Hydrogen Gas. A stable Molecule. it combusts.
O2 is Oxygen Gas. A stable molecule. it oxidizes.
when combined 2 parts Hydrogen Gas to 1 part Oxygen gas (that's 2 x H2 + 1 x O2), and ignited (with a very small spark) the molecules reform to H2O + H2O >>>that's 2 water vapor molecules. In the process, they give off a "wholebuncha" energy and make a car go.

Ahh, so H2 is simply Hydrogen: H-subscript2. A lack of mathematical notation can be confusing sometimes. I thought that H2 was some arcane reference.

From the original question about herding, Methane can be obtained by some herding of sheep, cows, goats and in some places elephants and other bigass critters.

The best advice so far on this thread IMO is:

"A person should be open minded, but not so open minded his brains fall out."

Left coast your memory serves you well, maybe you would be intereseted in experiments on running an ICE on H2? someone please search the web for knowlegde publications's videos having converterd the 5 hp briggs and stratton engine to run on h2. they showed the conversion process, the parts, and ran the thing on straight h2.
The only 2 things they did, 1)they removed the entire carb system and ran a stainless steel line with a nozzle on the end similar to an inflation nozzle. They mounted it straight into the intake near the valve.2) they removed the ignition coil pickup key on the flywheel and moved it towards TDC. Then using a tank of h2 at 3500psi and dual stage regulators used a basic manual valve for throttle.
The science is sound and the guy is Roy Mcallister who started the American Hydrogen Association. He claims he has been converting carb and FI vehicles to h2 since the mid 60"s.
Normal fuel delivery requires engine vacuum to meter fuel form the carb or FI throttle body .H2 he says runs the engine based on the h2 flow to throttle up, not vacuum. I am not enough of an expert on this right now to be able to proplery explain this to you guys, but I think you guys are smart enough to understand the explanation when coming from the guy who does this and they have a site that sells the books and dvd's showing this conversion and how to do it,I have those dvd's and would be willing to burn and share for free to anyone who is genuinely interested and wants to make a difference, they also post on youtube.
I have a 5000psi h2 regulator, I was looking for a high pressure carbon fiber tank for the h2 but they are still very expensive (about $2000) for a small tank). That is why I have not gone further with this conversion. Next is how to set up the compressor to take h2 and pressurize the tank at such a high pressure, until I find people or contacts on how and where to get these things the project goes nowhere.
I have kept my old cbr600 for the conversion to start. It just has the 4 mukini carbs which I should be able to remove and run the h2 lines into the intake. If I blow up the engine I dont care, I am not risking my vfr, I love that thing too much, but eventually I would like to have it running on h2 that I can create from my renewable energy sources at home like the wind turbine and solar panels.
