you're welcome guys, it's always a pleasure. I think the overheating of Joey's bike may have been more related to the fact he did some recent work on it and probably developed an air pocket. The fact that the overflow bottle was empty lead me to believe the radiator may have been low as well. Which it was. It was worth checking it over. It was an easy fix and luckily that was all it took. It was mighty hot.!! When / where did the muffler come off Matt?

:doh:QUOTE=Joey_Dude;186116]Well at least with a group ride you got people backing you up in case something happens. That, and someone's got to be the butt of jokes hahahah!![/QUOTE]I'm beginning to think you only invite me along to work on your bikes!!:doh

That kind of heat is a true test of your bikes durability.

I gotta tell you, the last 50 miles home into SC was brutal. My head was pounding and i was having quite a bit of trouble riding. When i got onto 107 i remembered a cold spring that is piped out to a rest area, so I stopped and had something to drink and wet my head and neck. I do believe that's the only way i would have made it home. After a cool shower and some Excedrin i was feeling brand new!

Hehehe!!! I saw the muffler bouncing in front of me. At first I thought it was some random part falling off but then I saw the yellow two brothers text on it and put 2 and 2 together. I caught up with Matt and sure enough the muffler wasn't there anymore. So we turned around and I got out my toolkit and I managed to get the perfect size hex nut for matt's clamp that holds the muffler. BTW, all gear all the time not only is useful for safety it can allow you to put a hot muffler back on!

Hey Dan, I'm insulted to think that I'm using you for fixing my bike. I was gonna ask if you wanna go on a ride and stop by the dyno shop for a power commander custom map for my vfr but with that kinda attitude I don't know sir he hehee!!!

awwww.... aren't you just being a little sensitive! ha ha! Joey how is your bike mapped now? I wouldn't wast my money on a custom map unless it had some specific mods that couldn't be compensated for with a normal map. Give me the $300 instead! I need it more! You'll get more out of a track day anyway.
