Ha ha, you gotta love the over-selling.... It's just a freaking scooter! I do have to admit it's a nice looking bike but the a real bike still should have footpegs not floorboards not to mention manual transmission.

Apparently the blind guy got promoted from R&D of the DN-01 and is now in marketing.

At least with the DN-01 video u got to see something other than a speedo in KPH (with horrid soundtrack)...Epic fail on the video comparo.......

Some eye candy to do a review of the DN-01

YouTube - Review of the Honda DN-01

My wife thinks it's something she would ride, so that may be Honda's target market.

Ok....... the first video that John 451 posted was complete laughable pseudo arthouse nonsense. It must have only been able to pass muster because the makers of that crap showed it to some 70 year old Honda execs and it never got shown to anyone with some sense.

Next, I'm sorry and I dont want to go all KC10FE here, but some shit just deserves a rant and the DN 01 deserves every bit of scorn heaped on it. Sometimes in life you just have to say WTF were you thinking? I mean come on, you people are in my opinion insulting women riders if you think they should be targeted to buy this abomination and its only redeeming feature is it may have a decent motor in it.

This thing just pisses me off

I am going to go ride my bike now and try to forget I ever saw this thread.

It makes my head hurt and my stomach feel queasy.

    Its not right.

Why do this? Why build something so....so....so

    Ahh shit , never mind.

duelcert: Did you tell the wife that you were disipointed in her in her? (JK) I mean look at it... realy. Sigh.... Honda is not what it was. Im starting to loose faith. First the Fury, then DN-01, still no CB1000R in America. Looks like I'm staying on the FZ1 for a while.

I'd have to laugh pretty hard if the DN-01 was targeted at women, because I don't like it at all... Maybe some amazon type woman, it seems way too big for my comfort.

I bet one local dealer that had one that he'd never sell it!!

Stupid looking is just the beginning.

I did see handlebars like that before: in an agricultural museum on a plow pulled behind a horse!!

I don't see the problem. She was easy on the eyes. The retro hair, those red lips, flowing dress, and the gloves were a nice touch. I must admit, not too fond of that clunky necklace and cigarette thing though.

Sweet, now I dont need to post anything. You nailed it.

I will add one thing. Thing thing does in fact have a good engine. While it has been significantly updated, it is the motor that started life in the 88 Hawk GT. It has been upsized & FI'd & now sees duty in the Euro Deauville.

Hmmm... The Euro Deauville? Why on earth didn't Honda simply bring it to the US instead of this ridiculous POS?

    KC-10 FE out...

Maybe if it was a esoterical '80s music video or selling a new French fragrence perhaps I'd agree, but for selling the klutzy DN-01 motoped ? :pound:

Probably the worst Honda ad I've ever seen.

Honda Motorcycles has dropped the ball, the ball was dropped 10-15 years ago in my eyes.

The DN might be a great mainstream motorcycle (I call it a Goldwing scooter) to those who want less complexity but would rather travel on two wheels. There might be a market for this type of motorcycle, time will tell.

Not bad but I think the resemblance to Dark Helmet to be a little closer.

I don't get all the DN-01 bashing going on on this forum. Some of you guys are starting to sound like all the Harley/BMW/ETC. elitists who think their bikes are the only "real" bikes out there. So you don't like the bike, I get that, but to put down anyone who likes it, or a whole company that has made some of the best bikes out there, including our own beloved VFR, is beyond comprehension. A lot of what I've read on several threads has been said about our bikes by other bike owners that have never ridden one. I personally don't "get" Hayabusas either, but I don't bash the bikes or the riders. I'm glad to see anyone on two wheels, no matter what they ride, and if someone wants to ride what in some peoples estimation is nothing but a joke of an over grown, expensive scooter, then so be it. Makes no difference to me. I write this not only in response to this thread, but to the thread that was started about the possible new v4 that turned into a DN-01 bashing thread. And no, I do not own one, and have not ridden one, but I would like to ride it before I critique it.
    OK Flame on!!
