New SC ride thread

Anyone out there doing any riding this weekend? I'm open to suggestions. Looking for some company and a nice ride.

 

Hey rc, if you can put together a ride up there maybe I can scrape up a few brothers to your south to join up.I have only rode that tri state corner, I think it's hwy 28 going thru S.C. into the Highlands N.C. (great place to ride this time of year) but a lot of our usual spots here like Suches and 129 up blood mountain are just really congested on the weekends now. So hopefully you know a few roads that maybe for one we hav'nt hit yet or two might be a little less dangerous on those heavy weekends. I spoke with a veteran rider over the past weekend and he highly suggested that we shift our routes to the east he said they are less patrolled and also not as congested. I hope that even if you can't hook up that you could let me know some good roads in that Ga., S.C.,N.C. corner, We would definetly apreciate any input you might have on that area.

Were you one of the Matts in the Joey Dude group i rode with a couple of months ago? I do like to ride out of the Clayton Ga. area. Most of the good roads are within reach from there. So, it would probably be the best place to meet. I was planning to ride this Sunday but now it looks like I have to be back here in Liberty fairly early, so i may not go at all. But if you're able to get some guys together in the next week or two just let me know. It would be easier to find out then what roads you haven't been on, and plan a loop then. So yeah, I'd be happy to show you around.

 

whats up rc i cantg ride this weekend at all maybe a little jount tommory but ive been doing the honey due list thing for about a month trying to get the yard cleaned up for the 4th of july were going to have all the kids and grand kids over so its work and work and work for me right now but soon as i can get freed up we will have to get togher and ride

 

Yeah rc, I was on the Joey Dude ride with ya. I can't ride this weekend but next week is looking good. Joey and Matt (vf500) are heading out tomorrow, I think their just making a local run up 129. If you can ride next week I'll text Joey and call a couple other guys around here and try to set up another ride with you and the S.C. boys. This time we can try to meet you guys on your roads. We had six for our last ride but that was kind of last minute if plans are made early maybe the turn out could be better.

 

sure i can meet you in the same spot as last time but let's not get too many guys involved. 6 or so is plenty. and please be sure they can ride. i hate picking people up off the pavement. Representation from SC looks pretty poor, actually non exsistant. I ought to post a tread asking who's not riding this weekend! stay in touch, keep an eye on the weather let me know which day, Sat or Sun is better.

Sorry dude, that wasn't directed at you personally. I needn't remind anyone we're not on a closed course, we're on public roads. I don't wanna be the one to call someone's wife or parents if something bad happens. I want to have fun riding and not think about anything but riding out there. That's why i tend to shy away from group rides. Sure everyone's enthusiastic but the skill levels are all over the place. As your skills improve so will your speed so if you want some pointers just ask. Until then ride within your limits and set your ego aside. Cause boy, you do not want me to bring my A game!! lol Cya soon.

Hey Joey, would it be possible for you guys to get an earlier start? 11:30 in Clayton is a bit late. It'll be 12- 12:30 before we roll out of Ingles. Com'on rise and burn rubber!

 

I just might ride the 51 this Sat. Oh oh!

 

I'm gonna start a thread soon and propose a 9 am meetup time for the georgia folks. Any earlier than that though is gonna require heavy doses of caffiene :thumbsup:

 

Well that would be a big improvement. Last time you were able to get there around 10ish. Tell those guys to get with the program! Cya soon.

same here i'm usually up @ 6:30am, take care of the dog and have a little somethin to eat and i'm ready to go.
