Honda's HRC Swingarm is a worthy upgrade for an RC45 and it's an easy
bolt on Mod if you happen to have all the kit parts specified in the
HRC manual... like HRC kit shock... HRC kit suspension linkage... HRC
kit brake hanger and so on... but if you don't have the parts then
it's a pain in the butt to interface one kit part with all the other
stock parts... so it was up to my own skills to engineer and machine a
list of parts to interface the HRC swingarm with the stock Honda
parts... consequently Mr.RC45 has been up on blocks for a couple of
months while the Lathe and Mill turned out the these parts... enjoy
    the picture show...

If you don't mind me asking, what is the benefit of the HRC swing arm if the dimensions are the same as stock?

    Weight and stiffness...

Stock arm weights 11 lb 7.5 oz but the HRC arm weights 11 lb 2 oz

The HRC aluminum swingarm is stiffer internally with more webs to
resist the loads during the rigors of WSBK racing but it actually
weights in less due to it's extensive use of aluminum and titanium
    bits...

    Larry:

    I have two questions brother!

Where did you find a HRC swingarm?

Do you do track days on your RC45?

BUBBA!!! do you still post in STN???

It all started with an personal message in VFRD... the sender wanted
to know if this strange swingarm he found on Ebay could be modified to
fit his VFR... I took one look at it and gasped... here was a $2,500
HRC swingarm with a $200 reserved because the seller thought it was a
VFR swingarm... I sniped it at the wire for $220 delivered...

The seller sent this info on the swingarm:

"Larry, My neighbor works for a trade show company that does a lot of
trade shows for Honda. This was on display at one of the trade shows,
and one of the Honda guys told my nieghbor that he could take it home.
He asked me to list this for him, so I will check with him to find out
if he has any more parts. I myself do not have any items that go with
    this swingarm."

Mr.RC45 and I have done track days at Laguna Seca and Thunder Hill...

    Larry:

I think you have the wrong Bubba Zanetti. I don't know what STN is? lol!

Anyway, very cool score for you brother! I was curious where a race swing arm like this would pop up. Not suprised about ebay. I've seen some interesting things pop up on their too.

You have my utmost respect for taking your RC45 to the track. It has always bothered me when people score a neat or unique bike and don't actually ride it. Especially something like a RC45. Man that thing has to be fun to take on the track.

Post up some track pics if you have any sometime.

And thanks for answering my quries brother.
