I am heading out shortly to head up north, maybe up to frederick for a good lunch and the out to harpers ferry area. So if you see a VFR and a Monster, track us down and say hi. If anyone wants to join in, just let me know.

Yup that'd be me! It seems that the bubbles were caused by rust that built up under the tank. Looks like I'm gonna be repainting the bike. I love the color it is now, but if I'm gonna strip the tank to clean the rust I'm gonna just paint he whole bike. I think the OEM Pearl White or just White is going to be the route. Spray the wheels white to boot. Got my eyes on a 600 Hurricane front wheel to replace the 16"...it's still a 3 spoke so it'd look even. Here's some shots of it with my GFs 500R

Maybe. I'm hoping to get my half credit from them. Friday at Summit Main was very wet. I only got in one session in the morning and them one of the guys I was with went down in I group in the first session after lunch. We all packed it up and called it a day. My boy's bike spilled some oil on the track and I heard it took about 2hrs to clean up because of how wet the track was. He was okay and the bike was only a little rashed up. He picked up a replacement part and was back on the track the next day on Jefferson at Summit Main.

Nesba is giving everyone a half credit for friday. I skipped the first session to get a report on the track conditions. One of the riders in my group said it was just very wet. With very little areas on track that there wasn't standing water. He was on full wet's and was just eating up the track though! I went out on the next session and pitted after only doing a couple of laps. Nothing felt right about being out there.

No I have not been to South course this year, but it is such a fun course. Not as fun as North Course, but just as fun. Watch out for the off Camber Turn 2/3,as you will be in the weeds real quick if you ain't paying attention.

Well Matt, I guess they won't let you or your buddy back to the Main course. :)

Main is fun and crazy enough without rain or being wet. I couldn't imagine riding that freaking course when it is wet or standing water on it.

Haha, I'm pretty sure you're joking. I didn't know you wanted to go to the track.

Jay- wish I could help you out, but you should still come down and hang. My truck is already full with 3 bikes and riders but I know 501 spits out very close to the track. Ride down Saturday, camp, and head back up Sunday.

Glockem- Yeah I'm familiar with that turn, I've been to the South course twice. Did Road Atlanta a couple weeks ago on the Beast...WOW, that track kinda spoils all the rest. Very high speed, topped her out and searching for 7th gear down the back straight and had one minor crash with about 100 close calls involving other riders in the Beginner class. No more of that crap though. I was planning on doing Summit last weekend but didn't have time to get the bike prepped after Atlanta (and I heard Jefferson sucks).
