and we know what happens when DREWl is bored....................a strangre phenom starts to work its magical way throught the world that we call "VFR", and when that world gets infected with the drewl "bordom", sill things happen..This list is long so feel free to add your own. as for me.....I'm gonna sit right back and hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship....................
I look back on being bored fondly. I just start school again after a loooooong absence. Between working, school work, and family stuff my days are shot. The upside is my company is covering the bill so it was hard to say no. I'm supposed to being doing home work right now but I'm taking a little mental health break. Good luck killing off that boredom, although in your job maybe it's good you're not super busy. Action
Actually, I was awakened very early this am to transport an elderly gentleman to Redding. Did not get back until 11 am due to the weather. Had to rush home for a phone conference. Then as I rushed to the post office to mail some important documents, a police action took place on the street right in font of me. I stood around for an hour or so waiting for someone to get shot... NUTHIN! I am soooooo fricking bored.
If it makes you feel any better, drewl, every time I get a "real" job, right about the third Monday I get really annoyed with having to show up 5 days on, 2 days off, same frikkin' hours everyday, et al. Then I miss being bored. Do what I do. Smoke cigars every day until you feel a nicotine addiction. Then quit for a few months, or a few days, or a few weeks. You'll be so busy feeling better or worse that you won't be bored. Hope that helps.
uh-oh. is that what that feeling I have been having is? dammit... hmm... it seems I am destined to keep at least a couple bad habits at any given time...
As long as you're bored Drewl, how about looking at some bike pics to pass the time? The AMA Superbike races are at Road America in Elkhart Lake this weekend. And wouldn't you know it,for the third straight year in a row the weather forecast is calling for rain. Ah Nuts! Every year on the Thursday night before race weekend the local Honda dealer has bike night. I took my Jokermobile down to show it off and snapped a couple of pics while I was there. Enjoy. This RZ 350 belongs to Dan,one of the guys who works at the speed shop where I get my parts. He's had this thing forever and done a ton of mods on it. Believe me,this thing is Super Clean. You just don't see too many of these anymore. This is my buddy Tim's bike. He painted it himself. It's a Silver basecoat with Candy Irish Green on top. He tells me that his daughter actually picked out the paint color. It really pops in the sunlight,he says that he's thinking about painting the frame and swingarm matte black to tone down the green just a bit. This is a sweet looking ride in person. I like the classic Marlboro livery on this old Yammy. This was one way cool Suzi!!! Sixth gens. representing! Fifth gens. representing! Fourth gens. representing! I kinda liked the windscreeen on this bike. This ride positively screams "Babe Magnet" Gonna hafta get me one! LOL! Seriously though,it's a cool old scooter in remarkably good condition. This '95 Kawi belongs to one of my coworkers Bob. The paint isn't black,it's actually a very dark Purple. I had this bike in my garage to change out the steering head bearings a while back. I had a whole jar of Purple aluminum Pro Bolts left over from my Jokermobile so I went over the whole bike and pimped it out a bit while I was at it. I really dig the twin round headlights and the shape of the fairings on this bike. Imho it's the quintessential sportbike look, and the little wing on the tail section just gets me every time. Check out the exhaust pipes on this Gixxer. This Team Ten Kate Honda replica was super cool! This bike was interesting. From the stubby exhaust pipe exiting the fairing I'm guessing that it might possibly have a turbo on it. Don't quote me on that though. Guess I should've peaked under the fairing to verify that. All the bodywork was rough and unpainted, looked like the guy was in the middle of his build. Same bike, shot of the tail section. This is an interesting idea for the brake/tail lights. I'm wondering if something like this might work on my Joker bike. Definitely gonna have to show this pic to my buddy Pez. This Aprilia was sweet. So was this MV Agusta. There were a couple of these MV's there. Fancy any Paris/Dakar rallying any time soon? This old CB 750 Four was mint! What a beautiful old machine. I've got a soft spot in my heart for these old Honda CB's. My first bike was a 1980 CB750F. Oh So Orange. An orange KTM in the foreground, with I believe a CBR and a 'Busa in the background. That KTM looks like Big Fun! This is a very clean '93 Ducati 900ss with 10k miles on it. I like the gloss black rims with the red rim tape. I spoke with the guy who owns it,he said he's possibly going to be trading it in soon on a clean used 851. Well Drewl that's all I've got, hope you're not so bored anymore. LOL!
Ahhhhhh I was able to get out for a couple hours today. Went very fast in a straight line as well as worked on body mechanics in the twisites. A good day so far.
