Naked VFR

My bodywork is a mess so Im planning ride it naked>
It a 97. Would like to find a small wind screen and 2 lorge headlight and mount front blinkers on fork uppers like the Triumph Speed Triple.

Has anyone else done this? Any suggestions about parts, lights, wind screen, bilnkers.

Turn signals can be added to the brackets you'll fab to hold the lights.

OK, so I'm naive, but what exactly is a street fighter? I've seen some photos on this site, but that's about it.

Is it simply a stripped down bike, void of any "plastics"? Or is there more too it than that?

Is there a purpose for creating one, such as clubs or competitions?

I think Buell used it as a marketing term. Now it has become associated with de-faired bikes.

No, the term streetfighter had to do with bikes that were crashed; and instead of making them pretty again they were stripped of all or most plastic and were made to work with little to no frills. Usually a rough de-fairing version of a streetbike. Very popular in Europe where the cafe racer also showed it's head decades ago. No advantages unless you count not having to deal with broken body panels, and or looking rough and mean.

 

IMO a street fighter can be made pretty...... mine above.
