Checked into wrong area of the forum this morning so thought I should say hey this way.

Have been out of the scene for almost a decade (sold a Zephyr 1100 to grow a big family).

Since my wife of 20 years finally got the urge to learn to ride, in a few days I'll be picking up a much loved red '99 VFR near Kingston just for me (16,600 on the odometer, Vance & Hines exhaust, Corbin saddle, double-bubble screen and some nice billet details at the cluster/bars).

Think I'll be able to keep up to wifey on her Ninja 250 ? lol

Anyway, anxious to learn more about it while riding the hell out of it.

    Joe

    Thanks, Randy...will do.

The fellow I'm buying from is out of town next weekend then returning to put new shoes on it but once my wife & I both get the bikes beside each other in the laneway, we'll snap some pics and post 'em up.

Off the wall you say? Well, I'm a regular at an absolutley wild forum where the members are literally off the hook (it's no holds barred...called modernmuscleforum.com for anyone with a modern, rear drive V-8 vehicle if interested. Tell 'em Mag 8 sent ya - My DD is 6.1 L Magnum SRT-8).

I could easily see vfrworld becoming my new fantastic daily diversion, though!

Whoa! Just got my first glance at the bike with the tinted double-bubble screen - It must work well but it's uggin' fuggly! It's probably going to be changed back to stock the first day I have her home (should be wednesday now which is good). The seller just had Full Bore USA M-1 street sport radials installed. I hope they're good! Anyone have 'em?

    Thanks "y'all" for the welcome.

It's gonna be great to get back into it.

Kathleen's quite girly too, so was drawn to the white/pink Shift & Joe Rocket gear complete with white leather gloves and white scorpion helmet.
She plans to stay with her trusted little Doc Martin high-tops for a while and that's OK with me as I find a size 6 DM boot kind of gothy-hot.

    I'm a safety-bright Olympia 3/4 jacket kinda guy myself.

    See on VFRW!
