I also have 2 tickets to Yuk Yuks Comedy Club at the Fallsview Casino for Saturday night if anyone is interested. I'm not going to use them. Just another idea.

Let me see if my girl wants to go to the show and I will get back to you about those tickets. I agree with you that Canada on Saturday and NY on Sunday is a good idea. See you all Friday night.

Here is the plan, based on mikes help. thanks mike
Day 1, a bit of sight seeing.
    1. Saturday morning we start at about 9:30 leaving from the first hotel in canada. we will stop by somewhere nearby for breakfast.
    2. we will either ride around the niagara parkway being led by BJ_mike, or be led by my friend in CA (see below)
    3. Cross border at fort erie into us.
3.5 perhaps as joe has offered we can chill by his place for a few. sit around the fire, pickup some food for grillin (his grill or mine, or both)
    4. end at the second hotel.

Day 2, less sight seeing and perhaps a bit more aggressive riding.
    1. Sunday morning we start out at about 9:30 ish leaving from the second hotel in USA. we will stop by somewhere nearby for breakfast.
    2. follow joe around
    3. enjoy food somewhere and head for home
    4. post on vfrworld how great of a time all of the people that didnt want to come missed out on.

If everyone would like to pm me their cell numbers I can keep a list of them so we can avoid people getting lost or separated from the group.

I will replay to pm's with my # so everyone can have it.

Not to throw a wrench into things (so to speak) but I was under the impression that the group was staying on the US side on Friday night. If this is correct, then I would still recommend crossing into Canada at Fort Erie so we can ride the Niagara Parkway north to Niagara Falls and then continue on the Niagara Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The parkway is a very pretty ride. Can someone clarify?

Ya can camp store your stuff (car, trailers) at my place or just hang out I'm just not clear why now mention it seems Friday night your staying in Ca. side.

Our reservations are for friday night on the New York Side, and Saturday night in CA. That was the original plan so thats what we went with.

    Joe from Buffalo,

Are you okay with this plan?

Originally we were doing Canada on Saturday and US on Sunday. Unfortunately, starting from Niagara Falls puts you right in the middle of the Parkway rather than riding the entire Parkway. If most riders are from the US, it would make sense that the ride is on the US side on Sunday to allow people to leave the ride at any time to get home when they want to. Your thoughts?

I'm fine either way, just want to make sure the ride is the best and I'm not riding by myself on the wrong day!

I'm ok with what every you guys want. Personally though if I was you guys and me knowing the area this is what I would do with the limited time your staying and distance from your hotel to my house.

    1) Friday: Arvie at your NY hotel and get comfy. Then eat dinner at some local place...possibly the place I mentioned that invented the chicken wings if you like wings. I can show you a place to eat and meet you at your hotel. After eating go back to your hotel relax or I can show you some local sights.

    2) Saturday: I meet you at your hotel take you around to some local NY sights for a couple hours since your so close to them and then I will take you across to Ca to meet BJ_mike in Fort Eire around 12:00pm eat in Fort Eire area. See the Ca sights/stop at your hotel and drop off and stuff you don't have to carry with you and eat in Ca in th NF area. Visit clifton Hill (local hand out in Ca NF area) Saturday night.

    3) Sunday: Take in some more local sights in Ca and or cross over to NY in NF to take in some more sights and or hed for home after you get up.

That's what I would do/makes the most sense to me. Sound like a good plan? Lets see a show of hands!

P.S. Getting in to Ca or back in to NY is not that bad I have a 800# we can several to take the one of several ways/options to cross over to and from Ca that will take the least amount of time so don't think it is a issue. We will need BJ_mike's phone # to be sure to contact him. This is my cell 716 eight six three 7 seven one five. It does go to voice mail after 10 15 rings if I don't pick up.

    Totally fine with this plan.

I have exchanged cell numbers with GoForARide and Joe. I will pick the meeting spot in Fort Erie Canada and will detail the route and post it to this thread shortly.

    Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Visitors interested in nature should see Goat Island, about 4 blocks from the Buffalo Ave Hotel....where there are 3 varieties of squirrels, one very exotic.

Yes, there is the normal and common, largely unappreciated Grey, including it's brother, the Black , or melanistic phase, but also the Fox squirrel, a larger, redder, Southern relative artifically introduced to the island by a biologist in the 1930s.!!! Peanut donations gratefully acepted......

Additionally, Goat Island has excellent falls views and the 3 Sisters Island walk leads out to the rapids above the falls.

I just realised today is Thursday! I may or should try to get some things done around my house Friday before you guys arive. I need a eta when you think you think you will be at your hotel and ready to to roll after you arrive. If it's not going to be to late I also may have to or best just meet up with you on Sat @ your hotel.

    Joe,
(Sorry for the delayed response. The message tracking stopped working! This is also a PITA to try to plan something like this in a forum.)

I like your plan. I think the route JSZR2 and I were working on was too aggressive. If there are some good roads in your area, we would love to follow you around. Those of us from afar are just trying to pack a lot of riding into a single day. My hope was to hit good roads in the morning, and sightsee in the afternoon. Heading to PA is obviously too far for even a long morning ride!

I'm really looking forward to the trip and meeting you folks!

I will PM a couple of you with my cell #.
    -Jon

It sure is! It's crunch time now...I guess I had better pack!

The plan is to leave the Holiday Inn NF, NY at 9:30 am. I have a feeling the real plan for the day will get hashed out then. It seems inefficient, but this thread has been too hard to keep up with.

I am all for following the recommendations of the locals. If it takes a day to sight see, then so be it. We'll just have to make another trip to hit some curves!

DON'T FORGET PASSPORTS IF YOU NEED TO CROSS A BORDER!
