Sugar Ray's Farewell BBQ/Ride

Well folks, a several of us peeps decided to get together for some camaraderie and to wish Sugar Ray well on his journey to the land of cacti, scrub-brush, and of course Heart Attack Grill!

Soooooo....and the gang of us that gathered was....El Nardo, Chicky, Westley Snipes (and wife), Sugar Ray, some hoser in red leathers, and of course, the one, the only Doc Long!

Thank you so very much for allowing us the use of Casa de Long, and for grilling the delicious food! It was daaaayyyuuum good! The ride was simply spectacular to say the least. We showed the outsiders the best of San Diego's backroads!

Glad that all (especially Karen who had the farthest to go) made it home safely. Glad everybody enjoyed the bbq and party (thanks again Long) and the ride!

Long, it's lecture time, there are at least two pictures in there of you on the wrong side of the yellow and the wrong side of your bike for the direction of the curve. You need to come back and visit me again so we can do some instruction. You keep that up and you'll get surprised and miss a corner and end up with another new VFR or worse...

 

don't remind me! I still feel responsible for you. I thought I was riding reasonably and then I hear on the radio "you need to come back here, he dropped it." hehe... that corner can be a booger. actually several of the curves on that grade have bitten people. a harley guy rode to that rally in the sky on one of those curves after the toy run year before last...

 

The squid was a constant harassment, but we threatened to call the PO-PO on him, and he bailed shortly thereafter.

Sugar Ray is going back to school again (after 12 years so far I believe) for the Army in AZ. He will be in school for at least 2 years, then however long on his residency afterwards. He will then be the world's smartest and most qualified nurse I believe...right Ray?? lol
