I love it. May I ask what a ballpark cost for getting some minor cracks repaired and a complete paint job is?

I like it. The single only thing I would do to this was put a matching black stripe on the front fender & rims strips.

    KC-10 FE out...

This is also the 09 paint scheme for the Canadian model too. Saw one just the other day at the stealership. Looks good with the extra black.

I'm not positive but I think I heard your bike say "put the d@mn camera down and lets go for a ride!!!!". Like I said, I'm not sure because I hear a lot of voices in my head.

Looks very nice and it looks like they did a great job painting it. Kudo's to you to because no paint job looks good without a lot of prep work! Oh and here goes a belated "Welcome to the site!", When I joined up I think Drewl was the only one to respond to mine....I'll never forget that, all you other B@st@ges!!!!!

ah, i'm jealous. I honestly think I like the B/W better than the RWB.

But I could never paint an RWB, that would be a serious biker crime.

looks like i'll just have to buy another vfr!

i did all the prep work myself, so i dont know what he charges for any repairs.

but he painted all the plastics, tank, tinted my tail light and turn signals for $300
thats base clear.. and very good paint.. cant remember the brand off hand, but its what they use on Rolls Royces...

he used a little black tint in clearcoat. prepped them, put a few coats on them and then wet sand and buffed them out.

i dont have a how to on the cans, they were like this when i got it. but the guy who did it cut them apart and welded them back together. he also made custom end caps and left the heat shields off.

they were sand blasted when i received the bike, i pulled the exhaust off, gave them a quick prep and then coated them with some VHT 2400 degree heat paint.

ill be heat wrapping the wrest of the pipes with black heat wrap at some point.
