do a search, there are numerous speculation threads. Absolutely ZERO evidence it will come out.

As a matter of fact, I think honda is going to wait until 2012 to change the bike. (not really a "fact", just a paranoid perspective)

There may never be a 7th gen bike, chances are that it will be discontinued this year and that 2009 will be the VFR model.

ANYONE who's taken a close look at the new DN-01 has reason to suspect Honda has lost its corporate mind !!

I recently checked it out, yeah, sort of strange. The price point is what is killing me, that's nuts. Saw the Fury, too. I actually liked it quite a bit, for a chopper type bike.

Woe be all who hope for Honda Prototypes..

It sickins me when these posts appear. Memories of what might have been and the future bikes that will never be.... (in the states anyway) :flypig:Once hard core Honda fans like myself who now ride Yamaha and Dream of Ducs. FOR SHAME! Soichiro Honda would be saddened by these actions..:yousuck:

    2009 Vfr?

Well, we know it is not going to be a 2009, but I suppose there is hope for 2010. It is a great idea,( the mock-ups I have seen) but as we have seen, Honda has decided to spend $ on that transvestite DN-1 trying to invent the "crossover" motorcycle...cross over from what? to what? Do they really think the "scooter guy/gal" is going to shove out $15 grand to move up? (Hope there is never a DN-2)
and now that Chopper fever is just about over in the US.... Honda delivers the Fury.
A 1000 would be great, it is time. but Honda scares me, I am just hoping they keep making the VFR in any form.

According to a good friend who is a dealership guy the RC211 V-5 is still being concidered as a production engine. Will it be the next Viffer? not known. But there is rumors in the Honda circles of this bike. Honda DID file for patants on the v-5 and two variants in an "R" and "F" model layout. The investigation continues. I'm on the case...

I did about 4.5 hours on the net and no results it's all just talk and people just starting rumours to piss everyone off and get our hopes up. But I intend to still keep my prized yellow 5th Generation VFR 800!!

Your waiting is almost over. For 2010 the VFR 1200F is here! It comes with shaft drive and DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) with a paddle shift. It includes a Sport mode switch. They used two the CRF450 heads as the design model with offset cylinders. The back two cylinders are together and the front two are at the ends of the crank. It even comes with inverted fork. I won't look at another BMW ever again. Gentlemen, the future is here. Maybe I can justify a purchase by the need to stimulate the economy ha ha

Before the VFR1200 became a reality there were persistant rumours of a RC211 MotoGP based V5 990 Superbike coming out, think it's logical Honda could have been toying with the idea to one up Ducatis then new Desmosedici RR but they probably canned it when the financial crisis hit.

I remember seeing a patten on the engine for a production model vfr1000, as said before, a TRUE gen 7, but all rumors have died. We can hold out hope for an true "RC" model but wish in one hand and shit in the other, see what fills up first... untill then, HEY! How about them DN-01's?
