That's 1300 miles east of here. I escaped that area in '78. Our flood time is end of June. Last year we were close to being swamped. They topped up the dikes last year so should be OK this year. I am below sea level here.

Toecutter, let's get together with the other Sactown boys. Figure out a good Saturday and we'll do it.

VFRChick...Definitley non-VFR's are allowed. My two buddies here have an FJ1300 and ZZR1300. I don't care what they ride...they're welcome. Any body else interested in the invite to ride the Sierra's/Yosemite?

Anybody else planning on going to MotoGP? Reg? By the way Reg, how far is it from your house to Laguna? Too far to use your place as home base?

All these are just warmups and to keep us in shape or SLOIV!

I am considering going out to Monterey over MotoGP weekend, but not actually going to the race. I'm not much interested in baking in the sun all day, watching bikes go by in one turn when I could watch it and get better views on TV... if I'm gonna be in that area, I want to be riding!! So, my tentative plan is to ride out, and during the days just go riding up and around the Sant Cruz Mts. Then, at night head down to Moneterey to mingle with the crowd that was at MotoGP during the day. Would be cool to be there with all the sportbikes all over that place!! I was also figuring it's a great way to get to spend some more time with all of you wonderful VFRW peeps. I am thinking of getting a campsite at a campground I know in the SCruz hills... sort of centrally located between Monterey and the South Bay. If anybody's going to be down there that weekend, let me know, we can try to connect... assuming my plan comes together and I'm there...

it's maybe 2.5 hrs doing the posted or close to the posted limits (which you better do around that time) I'm not sure it'd be a great home base but if someone was say comin from up from the south, they could sleep here and head out with Tori and myself... It's not close enough to stay here and go back and forth daily though.

I'm interested in the Sierra's also. It was already on my agenda actually. Just trying to figure out when to do it... I'll get back to you on that score. By the way, how are the chickens?

    bok bok bok...

    Family Reunion

I too, made it home safely. No tickets, no crash, not even any close call, thank God. What a perfect day for a ride! The pictures that I took of all six generations of Interceptor/VFR's look exactly like the ones Toe posted...is that because we were standing next to each other? It was good to see you guys again. But too bad I missed the ride you did yesterday, except for Toxic getting his bike key removed and thrown in the middle of the intersection...Thanks for the beer and hospitiality. You guys are the greatest.

So now, shall we start a new thread for a June 19, 20, 21 Sierra Mountain Road Rally I?

A few of us at Toe's thought this would be a good weekend for a group of VFRW members and friends to get together at my place in Sonora on a Friday afternoon, ride over the Sierra's to Drewl's, spend the night, then all head out from his place to Sacramento and then all split up/head home Sunday. I'll post this same message on Reggie's Roadhouse Roundup III, too.

that would be really cool. I might have my bike back together by then. I don't really want to impose though, as I don't really know you guys that well, and well heck im probably slower than drewl!! but, I am half-way between drewl's house and toe cutter in Sacramento. and might possibly be interested in going.

and oh by the way my dad and I will be doing a Yosemite trip sometime this summer. I will probably trailer my bike to Petaluma then ride from there. anyone going there late june-mid july?

I would like to do moto-GP with my neighbor, he is going to be bringing his toy hauler down there, but the time doesn't really work, I have huge plans for the 4th of July. my family takes that holiday pretty darn seriously.

No, Drewl, it's not the "post anything" thread. But I thought it was kinda the "post anything related in anyway to Reg's Roadhouse Roundup III" thread. And since this is where we all congregate...I thought it was the place. I know that everyone that was interested in or went to Reg's checks this thread regulary, so that's what I was doin! I'm new to this discussion/chat/blog/post/thread thing. SO...EXCUSE ME! You're just upset that "Tiger Tiger" went down to a crushing defeat! Just kiddin', D.

But, if you advise, I will post a new thread: "Sierra Mountain Road Rally I" on the USA West forum. We'll see what pops up.

I really hate to depart this thread, though. It's like a family reunion...or was that another thread? I'm so confused.

Oh, Neckcutter wanted the link to the video of the '86 Daytona...here it is if anyone's interested: Fred Merkel - Google Video
