Looks like there will be a new class called Moto2 in MotoGP next year. And the sole engine supplier will be Honda.

The engines will be a 150hp/500cc size.

So at least Honda can announce some good news instead of layoffs.

Now how can we get our hands on those engines!

The engines will be prototype 600cc engines. the engines will be purchased by DORNA and supplied free to the competing teams. As it stands now, Ten Kate Racing will be contracted to maintain the engines.

Sorry. Fat fingers syndrome. Yes. 600cc.

Sounds like it could be a very competitive series. But I doubt we will see the races on this side of the pond.

So every engine will be the same and tires the same, but frames and bodies will be different?

From what I've read, yes. That is exactly it. The teams will be given a spec 600cc engine and tires. Bridgestone??? And the teams supply/engineer a frame and a rider. Go race!

And NCB, that's true. If they bring the 250's to Indy, you just never know. They need to start showcasing ALL their classes in North America.
